Off the steering wheel, that is. Whether you use your knees, or have the co-pilot reach over, or whatever - - how far did you go?

I drive like that for very short times, 10 seconds or so all the time.... probably wouldn't do it much longer than that myself....

I just let go of the wheel sometimes to check the alignment. 80 MPH and see if it goes straight

About 20 miles on I5 at night in the 2004 TL. I know I know, stupid me, but i needed some excitement at 90mph. Of course, I was using my knees.

when i used to be in norfolk, i would sometimes readjust my mirrors and lounge back, with a pillow, while using my knees..... :stupid:

of course, this was on 95 with little traffic (was in fast lane doing 70-75 with cruise set)..... :D

did it for a mile or so on the highway.. used to do it more when I had the civic... the steering wheel was a lot closer to my knees than my Accord. Never did figure out how to shift and drive hands-free, though. :lmao:

I drove for 25-30 miles going east into Salt Lake City on I-80. Anyone that has driven that before knows how boring that drive is. Had to keep myself entertained somehow. Of course I had a little help from one of my knees to keep it on the road...

i usually freak myself out if i take both hands off for longer than a couple of seconds.... i feel like i need more control of the car and taking both hands away takes away that feeling. i really didn't even remove both hands at all on any of my recent 10 hour drives!! (EXCEPT when sitting in chicago traffic and not moving at all..... :lmao: )

Lucky for me, I'm 11 hours away from Pittsburgh! :D

Just tell me when you decide to do a road trip to the Boston area! ;)

Only for little bits when I needed both arms to help me sit up straighter. Between the seat and the tilt of the steering wheel and my prefered driving position...I haven't figured out how to make my knees touch the wheel enough to really steer it...lol

There were a couple of times when my friends called me kinda distraught while I was driving in the city. I didn't wanna hang up or tell them to hold on...so I was forced to use my left hand to hold the phone and my right hand to shift...not all that fun while turning but hey it works haha

You could always put it on cruise and use the buttons to go faster. slowing down is going to be a bit of a problem, tho. :lmao:

I ride with the seat ALL the way UP, as high as it goes now & there's no knees near the wheel!!

I can reduce with the buttons....but not stop! Could be a problem.... I DO have long legs...but at 4'11" that's not saying much!! I don't have the seat all the way forward.... I gets points for that, right?

It still wouldn't stop the car... How about mounting a parachute to your rear bumper and opening it every time you want to slow down? It'll be like those drag racers! :lmao:

Over 20 miles on more than one occasion.... though this was on my OTHER Honda, a Goldwing!

It's so nice to be able to lean back, and put the spine in a different position for a while. Makes the long rides seem shorter!
