Asking for advice/experience here...
When braking hard, going into a turn (as in auto-X), the ABS kicks in and I feel like I plow into understeer instead of the expected rear end slip. The only other ABS experience I've had is the Odyssey which I rarely drive and don't throw it around. Any suggestions or techniques for ABS? (AT tranny)

I'd say it's probably not an ABS thing as much as just the chassis tuning. The suspension was definitely tuned to be "safe" - it's not good to be swapping ends on the highway. Also probably has something to do with the weird front/rear braking balance on the new 7th gens. If I were you I would probably play with the tire pressures and use big differences between the front/rear. A bigger sway in the back would help too.

Accords are designed to understeer for safety and such...

Changing suspension parts should improve the handling...

car definately hits abs if the brakes are hot. i noticed that during a backroads run the other day.

once again i go back to the bigger sway story. i experienced sever drop throttle oversteer with the car at 70+mph.

Hmmm... Part of my question stems from memories of driving a '77 Accord in auto-X. Techniques to break the back tire free included:
1) Use the handbrake.
2) Heel-toe such that you power thru the front brakes, while the rear brakes cause tire slip.
3) Yes, the higher pressure in rear tires, as you mention.
The Gen7 Accord doesn't feel like what I remember from the '77 Accord. No big surprise, but I'm wondering what to do differently, (I do have the 17mm sway bar.)

One other point of reference is a co-worker who auto-X's in her Camaro, and was really frustrated with ABS until she found a code to defeat it temporarily. Rear-wheel drive, so not quite the same issues, but has anyone done this on an Accord?

Try finding a ABS fuse and pull it. See if that works. I also agree with tire pressure needing to be increased. Try braking differently. Brake before hand then power through your turns.

Ditto... obviously at your own risk! Many people disable their ABS for the track, but some of them skid off the track and kill themselves :dunno: .

I've had my ABS kick in from going over railroad tracks in my other ride.... it would save your _ss in the rain or snow, but can be distracting when driving "at the edge."

disable the ABS and make the handbrake your friend  although Im not sure why you would want to do this unless you are using a track that has hairpin turns or unless you are ...dare I say it....trying to drift in a 7th gen! :paranoid: :paranoid: :paranoid:
