: Forum sponsors?
1QWK9 04-30-2009, 04:38 PM What doesn't this forum have sponsors (i.e., Evasive Motorsports, King Motorsports, Truehonda, etc.)? Most other forums have such sponsors, and the community really benefits from them as they offer specials (group buys) on parts for our cars!
Bring on the sponsors!
Aarmin 04-30-2009, 06:02 PM Yuck, more advertisement;
But if members can save some money, I guess it may not be so bad.
fLiPsId3 04-30-2009, 06:13 PM it seems like i know what forum your talking about...8th gen civic? yeah they got alot of sponsors. maybe someday. if there are alot of accord enthusiast on this forum, and mods might be able to invite a couple of sponsors.
-theres xenondepot
- and retrosolution
namegoeshere 04-30-2009, 08:38 PM If someone wants to become a site sponsor, they need to get in contact with the owner (Wardsweb).
However, keep in mind that this site is geared toward people who just want to maintain their cars and not really for modders (ricers?). That is why there aren't that many sponsors.

I am talking about forums like s2ki.com (I used to have a 2006 S2000) and evolutionm.net (I have a 2006 Evo IX). Both of those forums have sponsors like Evasive Motorsports, Vivid Racing, MAP Performance, Truehonda, etc.

I wouldn't necessarily associate modifying a car with ricing it out. Sure some people put some pretty ricey stuff on their car, but for the most part people put tasteful mods on their cars.
The benefits of having forum sponsors is easy access to aftermarket parts and good discounts (i.e., group buys). Most sponsors will offer group buys on suspension parts, brake kits, exhausts, intakes, etc. The entire community benefits from forum sponsors. :)
RTexasF 05-01-2009, 04:26 PM Sponsors are a necessity but Wards has kept them to a minimum (Thank God) and still been able to keep this site on top of all the rest. The type of sponsors you are looking for are exactly WRONG for the people that frequent DriveAccord. You'll have to go elsewhere to find them.
AznX TL 05-13-2009, 06:06 PM i've been trying to get Excelerate to become one, he said he attempted to be one but didn't tell me anything else.
but Excelerate is the man, he can get us good deals on quality aftermarket parts for the 8th gen and older platform.
Wardsweb 05-28-2009, 07:25 PM I am very selective on who I allow to advertise and make money on my forums. Yes they are mine, I am the single owner and operator of this site. I pay all the bills and have for over six years.
I built it so people could have a nice place to discuss their accords. Consequently there are many older Accord owners here who are not into tuning their rides. They can come here and not be bombarded by in your face ads or kids who choose not to use the English language correctly.
I also find many vendors want a free ride and only want in to make a buck. This is evident by them refusing to pay to be a sponsor. Many of the ones talked about in the forums but that you don't see as sponsors have told me Driveaccord wasn't worth paying to be a sponsor on.
I started this site with a hand full of friends and opened it to the public. As such all are welcomed, but you have to play by my rules. If that doesn't agree with you, no one is forced to come here.

Hi Wardsweb,
I've tried sending you PM many times but didnt get through, my sent box is always at zero, and I didnt get any responses back and tried email too, but still nothing. I am not sure if something wrong with my account.
I am interested in becoming a vendor and want to know the details, please PM me.
Thank you.
Kenneth
dominicstl 08-10-2009, 02:57 PM Kenneth,
I've heard of other people having problems with sending and/or receiving private messages, but I don't remember exactly what the problem was.
As for the e-mails, he may have seen it and not responded immediately or he just hasn't checked his e-mail recently. I'm sure you'll get a response eventually.
Good luck
kdogra2010 08-10-2009, 03:00 PM never received any help from sponsors so no good for me

RTexasF 08-10-2009, 04:02 PM There are several available now, just look.
Throwdown 08-10-2009, 04:27 PM I actually have been a member of this forum for about a year now and I'm going this route as well... I hope that I can really benefit the community with the best deals I can do but also keep it a level below some of the ridiculous advertising that other forums have. The idea to get into this actually started from the exact reason of sponsors...and I really hope I can be that difference of just a sponsor trying to sell and one who actually cares... and remain a very active member of this forum.
