Is anyone having problems keeping their fuel tank door open while pumping gas? I've had my '09 Accord EX-L for about a month -- and each time I pump gas, I have to hold the fuel tank door open with my left hand while I pump with my right. If I don't, the door starts to close slowly. I took the car back to the dealership, but they couldn't find anything wrong. Any ideas?

I went through the same, it would take 4-5 presses to open. Dealer tried everything to fix, then one day told me it was mis-aligned. I couldn't tell by opening it, but the fuel door was like 1mm out of alignment and sure enough I have not had a problem since. Have your dealership check that if they can somehow...

Same problem on my Coupe... I'll have them check it when I get my first oil change next month. I have some other little gizmo to make them check.
But beside the fuel door jaming... I must say I'm still impressed by that great product Honda made. Sooo damn happy about my ride. Each time I see it, I smile :)

Surprisingly, I read a lot about that when I first got my car, but have thus far had no problems with the latch or the door not staying open. The inside of my door is also painted completely. Someone mentioned it not being totally covered in paint on some of their cars as well.
