... You know you all do it. You drive, see something, and scramble for your camera phone to take a picture of it. Well, I saw this earlier today. All I can say is I don't really understand the point of lowering TRUCKS, at least that low. And in this area, this guy is taking a serious chance. Not to mention he was coming off of a highway where there is some serious construction, with an unimaginable amount of potholes.

I thought it was interesting none the less.

A fad/trend that was rampant years ago but not as prevalent as of late was the low-rider trucks (as pictured in the O.P.) w/ the small/wide wheels that extend noticeably outside the fenders.

Hahaha oh route 18. They FINALLY paved where the construction is on the north side and it makes it so happy. Now my car doesn't hate life when I drive over there.

the truck is bagged (air ride) so it can ride low but lift it up at anytime to go over speedbumps, etc so it doesnt damage the frame. they do however, lay frame to throw sparks in whats called "dragging frame" at night. its a cool sight to watch though but not everyone thinks it is

seems u are just uninformed :D....i myself had a daily dragger about 4 years ago...of course that truck has bags and can be raised probably about 6 inches at the flip of a switch...lots of fun in traffic :thmsup:...here is mine ...lots of time into this thing ...and actually these things are pretty capable ...drove mine on the crappiest roads in new orleans back and forth to school everyday for about 2 years ...never had any problems with it ...even drove from new orleans to san antonio to jackson , ms during my evacuation from hurricane katrina...truck was champ :thumbsup:

I don't see the point of lowering a pickup truck, but some are nicely done. But the pic in the OP is just ugly. It all depends on the paint job. I see one here that is half silver and half blue. But the silver is on one side of the truck and the blue is on the other side.

I like your S10. Did you shave everything but the antenna? Sometimes I miss my S10, should have kept it considering I basically lost all the money I spent modding it. It's hard to sell newer highly modded cars unless you find someone that really wants it as is.

If you bag a truck you can lay frame, or close to it, and still haul a load. It's easier to load a dropped truck than a lifted truck. Most lifted trucks are just for looks, people go so high they greatly increase the center of gravity, and most people are too cheap to change the front and rear gears when they put the huge tires on that they kill the performance. It's also much cheaper to lower than to lift. The lift, tires, wheels, gears, front axle housing, and differentials I want are over $10k in parts alone and the wheels are just basic 17s.

well as for the paint its probably just something someone had laying around...from my experience its always a work in progress with a highly modified vehicle like that ..i slowly shaved everything on my truck and thats why it was in primer the whole time i had it ...

yeah haha i dont have a scanner and no pictures of it on a memory card so it was the best i could do hah...yes everythign was shaved but the antenna and gas tank door ...had led tails in the tailgate ...and as u said i lost alot of money when i sold that truck haha...never get what u put into something
