So today, I just replaced that center console compartment in my car amidst other things I've replaced; Front Drivers Seat, bad seat heater, had to swap the air bag too, thats a sucky job! Front Door Checkers, both sides. Inlet O ring on the power steering pump, Front Breaks, 4 bubbling door handles, etc, etc.

Anyways, I bought it used for a good price because it had low miles and it was in outstanding condition mechanically and physically, just needed a some misc things replaced.

Thats aside the point, Today for fun I pulled up that piece that has the two vents on it above the stereo and I noticed the wiring connected to what I thought was the photo sensor for maybe what could be auto headlights? When I drove Malibu's and Corolla's they had an auto feature where at night they would automatically turn on. I have not seen such an option on my car, but the wiring is there. So is there something that I'm missing?, or do I need to add it?

I searched through some threads and found the most helpful information in the "Nice Suprises" thread, as well the auto window roll down feature, thats cool. I couldn't however find any information pertaining to what I was looking for.

Any ideas?

It's a sunlight sensor. It's not used for auto-on headlights though. It's used for the AC system in conjuction with the temperature sensor residing behind the small grill next to the steering column behind the wiper controls.
