Dear all,

My new Accord EX came with floor mats, but those will get dirty easily. So I am thinking of getting those rubber floor mats...something shown in

http://www.handa-accessories.com/accint03.html (Winter Floor Mats)

To me, I think those are pretty expensive, esp when i get mats for the front and back. Any recommendations as to brands, stores, websites where i can get better price and quality rubber mats? Or u think it's worth getting the Honda made mats?

Btw, if anyone is using the rubber mats, putting rubber floor mats on top on the existing cloth-mats...will that make the whole car look urgly?

Thanks in advance

I have the Honda all season mats and they are great - I leave them in year round. The carpet mats are very thin and flimsy - I just take them out and store them.

Look at hondacuraworld if you decide to get them - shipping is free (small handling fee).

Also, think about the splash guards and trunk tray while you're at it...

I looked at the handa-accessories.com mats, but didn't want to spend that much.

So, ... three days after I took delivery of my car, I drove to Walmart after work and bought their Universal fit Sedan Front/Rear Floor Rubber ( 4 heavy weight - approx. 1/4" thick) mats - Color: Beige for $19.84. Here's the pic's ...

Rear driver side view - mats (http://community.webshots.com/photo/339979298/343599298twQeRH)

Rear passenger side view - mats (http://community.webshots.com/photo/343599159/343599159jMdEOT)

They're just on top of my installed Honda Ivory car mats and stays in place very nicely!

Worked so well, ... I bought a "Gray" set for our 2004 Pilot!

NOTE: I did buy from www.handa-accessories.com ...

1) Splash Guards - Front & Rear ($39.95 + SH)
2) Sunshield Windshield Shade ($18.69 + SH)
3) Half Bra ($54.00 + SH)

... which actually arrived a day before I took delivery of my Accord!?!? :lmao:

nemo456 - check out this thread here (http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2677). I saw the Honda OEM ones at the dealer and was disappointed in the quality. I ultimately went with WeatherTech floor mats.

Realize that I don't have to deal with hardly any snow, but my strategy is to replace floors mats as needed with new OEM mats. Generally I get 80k miles or more before I replace them and, in the meantime, the asthetics are much nicer without rubber mats.
This is not a maintenance-free approach as I do shampoo the mats maybe once a year, and spot-clean as needed. I've never used a protectant like Scotch Guard, but it might help.
