My passengerside brakelight does not light up when I push the brake pedal. I did switch out the left bulb to the right and right to left and it still will not lightup when i push the pedal. Yes, when i took the bulb which does not light up (right side) and installed on the left it did work. So does this mean that the unit itself went bad? I do see that you can seperate the unit, meaning where the bulb sits in socket, that socket will pull apart from the other end where the wires go into. Has this happen to anyone else? I will need it to work for safety plus to get my car inspected. The center light works and the leftone too. The right side does come on with you turn on the lights. Just not the brake, da!

Try cleaning the socket with a a bit of sandpaper. Be gentle. It may just be corroded.

I will try that, I have an o3 and I will relook in there for the rust. The other thing is that someone kinda of gave me a small bump at a light and i wonder if that has something to do with it? There was no actual damage to anything that you could see. Maybe the wire got loose but still it looks connected.
thanks
