Wife and I are looking for a mini van. Local dealer quoted us $28k for an EX on the road, taxes,tags, title, the whole thing. Vehicle price was about $26k. Seems high to me, but I never purchased a van before. Anyone who has an newer van, how much did you pay?
Thanks

Sounds good to me for an EX Odyssey.

If you're getting the car BEFORE taxes/fees for 26k, then that's over 3,000 off MSRP.
Odyssey's don't come cheap, but they're great vehicles.

Yes 26k before taxes tags title and everything. $28k out the door. They quoted us at $31k for the EXL no res or NAV, and we are seriously considering it.

That's not bad at all. When they first rolled out in '05, we ordered an EX-L and paid $31k out the door. That's about $1k off MSRP. Waited a couple of months for it.

Hey, I'm not sure if you already pulled the trigger, but you should really check out this thread on Odyclub.com: http://www.odyclub.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46861 There is much discussion going on about incentives and deals in general.
Just for reference, I paid under $29k (out-the-door) for my 08 EX-L RES when it was new. This was in Virginia. It included wheel locks, trunk tray, state inspections, and pinstripe (passed on the pinstripe).

OP,
Have you considered the Toyo Sienna? We bought our 06 (new) for $22K + TT&L. It's been great so far.

We already pulled the trigger on the 09 Odyssey. EX-L No RES or NAV. The local Toyota dealer was not very helpful, nor did they have many vehicles in stock for us to choose from. We drove one Sienna, and it was nice, however it was not a very responsive ride. The odyssey drove much more like a car.
We ended up trading my wife's G6 GT which we still owed money on.
Dealer payed the G6 off for $9500. Not ideal, but best deal we could get from anybody short of selling it outright. Carmax only offered us $8k, and I didn't want to even attempt to sell it private party.
The Math:
Vehicle price = $28,095
Tax = $1159
Tags = 250
Destination = $670
Dealer Processing Fee = $99
On the Road = $30,273
I could have gotten this car for $1000 less or more, but our trade kinda screwed us. We basically ended up rolling over negative equity from the Pontiac. On Paper, the dealer payed it off, but in reality, we are still paying the difference on the trade.
Needless to say, last Pontiac we buy.....
