I was just quoted invoice for a 2009 Accord EX-L Sedan for $23,900 (invoice price). Do you all think this is a good deal or do you think lower?

I mean invoice is invoice. Is it an EXL v6 or i4? manual or auto?

Always aim for at least 20% off MSRP and don't settle for anything less than 15% off MSRP. Try and get it down between 21-22k.

EXL i4 non-navi

Hmm, perhaps I'll counter with 22k...

From what I have seen, 22,700 is very good and achievable offer that I have seen, outside of Ohio. But the one offered to you is not a good offer

Be firm about 22k even. They usually will make the deal or ask you for one or two hundred more. Spend the extra time waiting for them to come down to your price rather than coming up to their offer. Always be ready to walk alway from the dealer since you can always come back in the future.

Okay, 22k firm then. I'm actually doing it via email, so easier to walk away. :) Thanks for the help!

Try few other dealers so that you have backing for your firm offer. Otherwise, they'll say they can't match it but that they can counteroffer.

For some more reassurance:

I think you can get away with an EXL non-navi v6 for $24k, for a i4 22k would be what you want to shoot for. I got mine for a full 2k under invoice, but its an 08 and 4th quarter of 08 just started when I bought it, if that means anything.
