I have an ~1 month old 09 6MT coupe with about 850 miles on it...started noticing something weird today when I was driving. When shifting from 1-2 and 2-3, when I would press the clutch in I could feel the pedal vibrating. It was pretty subtle, not a hard shake or anything, I think a "tingle" in my foot would be the best way to describe it - didn't happen everytime either. I wasn't driving the car hard - I was just making my way through traffic on a 45mph highway w/ stoplights.

Did you ever try to find out why, i've been driving manual cars for 10 yrs and never experience that.

there is a TBS for this... you'll have to search for it.

I have never had that characteristic either in ANY of my cars honda or otherwise, but it also has not manifested itself negatively in any other way other than the buzz at the pedal.

i am sure it has to do with the pilot or flywheel as the feeling tapper off as clutch engages completely.

what I would like to do is find a very aggressive clutch and get the flywheel and pilot replaced, but that's a bit off in the distance until i get the handling where I want it

I know exactly what you're talking about. I've always driven MT vehicles, and I've never felt that vibration in the clutch before. It seems to be the most noticeable around 2000-2500 RPM. I did find that if i shift earlier and/or later the vibration isn't so distinct.

Why would you be feeling the clutch at 2000-2500 rpms? Do you mean as let the clutch out?

I'm really not sure where this clutch pedal vibration comes from. With the car sitting still, I fully press the clutch down to the floor and rev the motor and I can feel the vibration in the clutch pedal. I am hoping this is just a quirk of the car and not some parts rubbing together. Likewise, I can feel this same clutch pedal vibration while driving, shifting from one gear to the next, when the clutch pedal is pressed down.
