Hi, how can I remove the 12V outlet that is in the front, near the shift knob or the one near the AUX in the middle box. Both of my 12V outlets are not working. The front's silver tip in the outlet has melted and the other just came apart when I removed my car charger. (The inside parts just came apart not the outlet itself.

I bought a 12v replacement well at AutoZone so would it work? Basically it's a screw on one. Thanks for any help.

Speaking of removing the power outlet.. I'd like to add a 12v outlet to power my Nuvi or any random 12v accessory.. but I want it to have constant power. The one thing I don't like about Honda's are that the power outlet is switched.

I used the search function but wasn't able to come up with much regarding this..

Has anyone else added a hot outlet or modded the stock one?
