rekles 05-22-2009, 07:13 AM 20" x 8.5" Legend Type II in Liquid Silver center with mirror machined lip, +40mm offset.
This is a dealer demo over at Nanuet Honda. They are working on an accord coupe right now with Liquid graphite 19" Inspyres and an RJ kit.

uhohkaitlina 05-22-2009, 07:17 AM Wow a honda will put on something other than their precious over-priced HFP kit?.. I'm surprised.
starbai 05-22-2009, 07:19 AM so what kinda drop are we looking at on this one... looks rype with the 20s (good)
and just to clarify, this one has a HFP front lip but no sides and rear right?
08coupe23 05-22-2009, 07:19 AM What suspension is that? H&R?
lldsandsll 05-22-2009, 08:07 AM why does this car make big rims look so small in pics?

Yeah, I actually had 2 dealers would are showing interest in our kit, putting them on showroom cars. Only thing is I can't seem to get the pics of them, they tell me they sold but they will get pics next time.

I don't think it'd dropped at all, and yes, HFP front, no side and rear, just mud flaps.
why does this car make big rims look so small in pics?
You know, the car comes with huge tires, fenders and wheel wells, so that dwarfs 20" wheels. Too bad 21" wheels don't have a wider selection, and 22" seem too big. Here's the same wheels on an Acura TL, same tire size and offset, they look much larger:
http://www.ronjonwheels.com/ronjonimages/large/atls212.jpg
http://www.ronjonwheels.com/ronjonimages/large/atls213.jpg
and they look even BIGGER on this CL, tire size is a bit different tho...

That car is DEFINITELY lowered.
rikrock 05-22-2009, 08:40 AM That TW coupe looks good, can't go wrong with RonJon wheels. Though it does look like it's dropped on a Eibach Pro-kit.
next_milenium 05-22-2009, 08:42 AM That car is DEFINITELY lowered.
I agree. It probably has HFP suspension as I don't see a dealer putting on Eibach springs.
starbai 05-22-2009, 08:44 AM yea my guess is HFP
08coupe23 05-22-2009, 08:49 AM yea my guess is HFP
If so, that just made my day.
08coupe23 05-22-2009, 08:50 AM Is that a dent in the fender on the last pic????
starbai 05-22-2009, 08:51 AM If so, that just made my day.
me too cuz it still looks too high.
Therefore H&R's should be perfect... which would make MY day.

Oh yeah that's right you are wanting a pretty aggressive drop...HFP wouldn't be good for ya. It happens to be exactly what I want! By the way, I thought you were thinkin about coilovers??

I am but the $$ is kidna daunting me. I know i'm never gonna adjust them. I just dont know if H&R is agressive enough. I only seen one other car on the forum with 20's and H&R's but his rims are a dark gray color and its hard to really judge the drop.
He's local so perhaps I'll see his car at our first meet.
Basically if springs do the job I'd rather go that route than drop an extra $500 for coilovers.

Well you'll get a bit more comfortable ride with coilovers right? And I know the car you're talkin about and it looks sick. You know it does. But that being said, If you are the kind that will beat himself up over a little gap then go for the coilovers. I think H&R, Eibach, and HFP all look fantastic. It really just depends on what style you're going for.
08coupe23 05-22-2009, 09:02 AM And I'm with ya on the $$$$ part. Full suspension kits are very pricey.
Big O's Accord 05-22-2009, 09:06 AM Yeeessss a white accord...
starbai 05-22-2009, 09:14 AM And I'm with ya on the $$$$ part. Full suspension kits are very pricey.
yea i dont really like slammed looks but at the same time I can't stand wheel gaps.
I got springs on my s2000 and I regret not getting coilovers for it greatly.
But i'm thinking that coilovers ont hat are a better use for my money and if the H&Rs can do the job I'd rather just do that on the accord.
I've got ground control coilovers and tokico illumina shocks on my prelude and I hate the ride. (Got them used so the price wasn't as bad as a new full suspension setup) But then again its probably cuz my 17 year old bushings are all worn out. (one of my upcoming projects are installing all new energy suspension bushings for it)
rockstar143 05-22-2009, 09:43 AM I would never lower a car again without going full suspension. I just HAVE to have the ability to make the drop perfect or I won't bother. That's just me...from cut dropzone springs on stock shocks (cut myself with dremel) to H&R springs on stock shocks to megan racing full suspension to tein SS. I'll never look back.
J.
And yes...was wondering if my eyes were playing tricks on me too on that gap on the last picture.

Cost man cost...
Maybe I can get a deal with buying two sets of coilovers S2000 and Accord at the same time.
rekles 05-22-2009, 10:24 AM i had coilovers before and not sure if it was my set alone or what, but man were they squeaking and noisy. I have Neuspeed now and it rides so smooth and quite. I'm with springs all the way.
BTW, spoke to Orlando (Parts Mngr) and he said the Accord WAS lowered with H&R springs.
08coupe23 05-22-2009, 10:37 AM I thought they looked like H&R...
starbai 05-22-2009, 10:38 AM ugh which means, not low enough... back to coilovers it is.
thanks for finding that out for us ron

What about Eibach Sportline man? And just curious, why are H&R's not low enough for ya?
starbai 05-22-2009, 11:11 AM What about Eibach Sportline man? And just curious, why are H&R's not low enough for ya?
I dont want a gap, which there clearly is one esp in the front with the H&R's in these pics.
The sportlines are an option though not a very good one because they're ont much different than the H&R just .1" in the rear lower i think.
But the other problem is they dont make the sportlines for the V6 coupe. only I4.
deryzzle 05-22-2009, 11:45 AM painted splash guards FTW!
starbai 05-22-2009, 12:06 PM the painted guards do look awesome
08coupe23 05-22-2009, 12:18 PM Man your car has to be slammed to have no gap. Unfortunately, the gaps are huge but so is the body. So in turn, getting rid of all the fender gap will put the body of the car in the dirt. And at that point your just gonna scratch the shit out of the body and chassis. Just my .02.
08coupe23 05-22-2009, 12:20 PM Measure the distance in the fender gap then measure the distance from the ground to the body of the car. Not much room to work with there.
starbai 05-22-2009, 12:30 PM you're probably right. and the thing is this is my DD so I dont want to have to deal with the whole going up speed bumps side ways and all that crap.
dunno got some decisions to make.
my stereo is going in first though.
08coupe23 05-22-2009, 12:36 PM Cool keep us posted...
checkZvtec 05-22-2009, 12:43 PM when you all say control the suspension with coilovers, do you mean control it electronically from the driver's seat w/ some sort of electronic module?? Or do you mean manually adjusting each corner however so & getting out of the drivers seat??
I am considering suspension upgrade myself, but I want to do it once & right. I am thinking of Tein or Neuspeed.

If i did coilovers, I would do tein basics. which I do not belive are EDFC compatible.
the EDFC is what lets you control dampening settings from inside the car. Its pretty damn expensive.
checkZvtec 05-22-2009, 01:00 PM yea, my neighbor has it on his white 1990 supra. probably the fastest car I have ever been in. twin turbo 2.5, 20+lbs of boost, full tein set up with polyurethane bushings on all corners too, ceramic brembo kit, 4 inch straightpipe alll the way to the engine block. the blow off valve sound it makes at every shift is the 2nd greatest sound. the greatest sound was that cars engine pulling harder than something that pulls extremely hard.

If I didn't have my prelude already for a project car, an MK3 supra woulda been my project car of choice. Such a good looking car, can be made to be stupid fast...
But alas, I'm a honda guy. lol.

Danielc409 05-22-2009, 01:42 PM Think a guy down the road has one of those supra's. Not sure if hes got it completely souped, only noticed the exhaust.
I really like those Legends, but I like the chrome over those, and yet I'm really not a chrome fan. I like the first legend series with liquid graphite. I wouldn't mind investing in those depending on how much I could get a set for.

This is a dealer demo over at Nanuet Honda. They are working on an accord coupe right now with Liquid graphite 19" Inspyres and an RJ kit
i want to see pics. im thinking about getting 19" inspyre liquid graphite for my accord sedan.
Danielc409 05-22-2009, 03:41 PM Hook it up! Prices prices!

suckiteasy 05-24-2009, 04:19 PM Honda of Nanuet ? Niceeeee ! that;s where i got my baby at .. biggggg ups ! Honda of Nanuet representer ! lol
Bsi523 05-27-2009, 12:15 PM The white accord looks good, I think it needs more of a drop though.
starbai 05-27-2009, 12:21 PM I agree, if they are H&R's its the lowest out there right now.
Unless you go coilovers... and Teins are out now so i'm excited as shit! Anyone else interested in getting them PM me!
08coupe23 05-27-2009, 12:36 PM I gotta disagree with you guys here. The white car is plenty low....You put some one in the driver and passenger seat and that car will be sittin on the tires. Guaranteed. If your looking for a stance that has 0 fender gap with no one in the car....then get ready to be rubbin non stop.
starbai 05-27-2009, 01:34 PM I disagree with that, zero to no fender gap doesn't necessarily mean rubbing.
I've got no gap on my prelude and s2000 and they never run. granted i dotn really know anyone over 200lbs lol but still
k24z3 05-27-2009, 01:43 PM These are some bad-ass rims. Nice and clean! :notworthy

Well if the setup is perfect...rolled fenders, correct offset, etc, then it shouldn't. Me personally? I wouldn't wanna have to worry about it all the time...
Danielc409 05-27-2009, 02:10 PM I'd like to see this in liquid graphite or more of a darker color but metallic.
starbai 05-27-2009, 02:17 PM Well if the setup is perfect...rolled fenders, correct offset, etc, then it shouldn't. Me personally? I wouldn't wanna have to worry about it all the time...
yea i ordered custom, perfect offsets for the s2000. and the prelude i rolled the fenders to make sure it was perfect after I added my 10mm spacers. and now ITS perfect.
Danielc409 06-09-2009, 09:43 AM Just curious, why does this shot make the wheel look more gray than the rest?
The others look like there is more shine to them.

rekles 06-12-2009, 12:01 PM Liquid Silver is a really weird kind of paint with alot of pearl and layers to it. It tends to look like one color in the light and another color in the shade, thats all.
Danielc409 06-12-2009, 07:56 PM Pm Checka mister ron!
Gosha 06-12-2009, 08:14 PM so i take it will have HFP front and RonJon sides/rear?
08accordv6 06-12-2009, 11:27 PM these rims are very nice..but i love the 5 spoke ones you guys got
but they are too expensive, well for me atleast..
by the way if i got HPF rear bumper can i still be able to put the ronjon rear..since they are only 2 pieces on the side?

I think Honda only offers a HFP rear LIP not bumper. Our rear spats fit over the OEM bumper, nothing else.
joenguyen 06-24-2009, 06:47 PM Ugly rims!!!
