Hey guys,
I purchased an Accord about 2-3 weeks ago, and noticed that EVERY single time I start the car and start driving, and when reaching exactly 30MPH there are two very subtle clicks coming from the fuses/gauges area...you can even slightly feel the 2 clicks on the gas pedal.
This ONLY happens after you start the vehicle and reach 30MPH, after reaching a stop sign the acceleratin again to 30mph there's no clicking.
Is this normal??? I just don't want to go to the dealer and look like a stupid when the car is supposed to do that.
Thanks for any input....sorry for any noob questions. I'm totally new to the Accords

It's a self test of the ABS/VSA system(s).
Not sure which exactly as I don't have a service manual.
If anyone does have one, feel free to fill us in about it in greater detail.
I noticed the clicking too when I first got mine. I don't notice it as much anymore.
Nothing wrong though, It's normal.

The passenger airbag light is not supposed to turn on unless there is a small passenger in in the seat (under 70 pounds?) or if you have a bag on the seat.
Light on means airbag off.

I have a hard copy of this, but I think this is what you're referring to:
(1) Customer's concern: "I hear a groaning noise when I start my car and then leave for work in the morning."
What's happening and why: On Models with a compact anti-lock brake system (ABS) unit, your vehicle's ABS emits a brief grunt or groan when it does a self-check. The self-check occurs when a vehicle is backed up or driven forward after being started. The groaning noise associated with the ABS self-check is a normal characteristic; it doesn't mean there's a problem with the ABS.
What could be done: A technician could demonstrate the ABS self-check for you by connecting a handheld diagnostic tool to the vehicle's data link connector and running the function test. The function test cycles the ABS solenoid and runs the ABS pump. Tee noise from the function test may be louder than the grunt or groan that you hear from the ABS self-check, but the function test would let you hear the noise again. Also, the demonstration could help you and the technician to decide whether the groaning noise you hear is truly the ABS-related normal characteristic or a noise from another source.
