What about at a beach? We could BBQ!?

I just went to the malibu beach last sunday and it was super nice.
I know that there are lots beach parking around PCH in malibu and i was in one of them.
some needs to pay but some maybe not.
there is also a starbucks next to peperdime university in malibu that have a big parking lot too. have food and everything you can get there.
I live in santa monica by the way, go to beach a lot.

The thing is, with the beach, the meet is going to be more people oriented, and if that's what the majority wants, then I'm cool with it. Unless you guys want to BBQ next to our cars, then that would be cool too.

the beach would seem really busy and we catch a lot of attention that also means popos will keep an eye out for us. And if the cop is an ass they can write us stupid fix it tickets and i know most of us are running without front plates and tints.

Thats why im saying to meet at a place were we can just chill and eat and admire each others cars and not worry about other people getting in the way. Im busy as hell this weekend but next weekend ill start scouting around.

I am just a noob around DA, but I have had a bunch of Beach BBQ pot lucks(with rx-7's) with the fire pits next to LAX. The lots are huge and it's the lapd, so no drama. You can pay to park down on the lot, or park free on the hill and walk down to the beach.....just a thought.

any updates on a location?

i hit up about 5 parks around my area. There were some good ones with good parking but i need to check them again on the weekend to see how busy they are.

The ones im looking at are

Pepperbrook Park - Not bad but a little small but if there are only a few of us then its perfect

Gloria Heer Park - Big area a lot of street parking, parking next to BBQ grills and looks quiet

Steinmetz Park - Not that great cuz the parking spots are run in front of a basketball court so there would be a lot of people running around

Schubarum Park - Excellent parking, very private, parking next to BBQ grills and tons of seating area, its right across the street from our last meet at the Puente hills mall so it would work, this was the best one i found but i think there is an entrance fee on the weekends and its closed when sun is down, during the week days its free and great parking and tons of grills. This would be perfect if we were busting it during the weekdays.

Also all these parks are near Turnbull Canyon (http://www.lateralg.org/roads/orange/laco2.htm) if you guys want to bust a canyon run. Its short but fun, i busted it twice today just for fun :)

I would like to give a special thanks to Steve from Xenon depot with his help i have made a total lightening upgrade that has helped me to go literally cross country in all kind of terrains and weather conditions, from REALLY thick fog to severe showers.." i ll have a detailed review soon, specially on the HID kit with the philips bulbs"but to say the least they are incredible, Along with the Putco yellow fog light and LEDs,attaching few pics now"more to come...

Glad you had a nice trip. I wanna do that some day. Nice Pictures too. If you wanna go to a nice beach definetly go to Doheny State Beach in Dana Point. Huge picnic/BBQ areas, alcohol is permitted in certain areas, they have every kind of water sport equipment rental there(my favorite is the jet skiis but its pricey). Also, really nice bike trails. Only problem is parking and crowds on weekends but other than that it gets my #1 beach.
Malibu beach is another great one. Nice homes, views, cliffs, cars, and a long twisty mountain road to have some fun :thmsup: Hang gliding is really cheap there too.
