HI Guys,
I'm sort of new to this forum, been lurking around for the past month since I purchase a 2009 Accord sedan EX 2 months ago. Noticed all the threads regarding the premature rear brake issue and that started the paranoia that my car would be a victim. Well after only 700mile I've noticed small squeaks at cold starts and short runs, especially after it rains but happen when it’s dry outside as well. The squeaking is on and off, never consistent, nothing serious... I know no cars are perfect, I had a 2001 Maxima which ate the rear brakes before the front at 15K, but the car never rattle even the day it was gone with 150k+.
I grew up loving Honda but seeing how things are changing for whatever is unfortunate. After reading a recent post about a service bulletin acknowledgment from Honda has led me to find that complaints can be utilized when reported to the US Dept of Transportation. With the enough complaints reported, the NHTSA has the authority to order Honda for a recall. Haven't read the newbie rules yet, so I'm not going refer to any links but I did google 'Honda accord service bulletin'. What you guys say? We may finally push Honda for an official Fix!
