View Full Version : Lowering Kit question
BlueCoupe08 06-07-2009, 05:19 PM So i was on tirerack.com looking at what springs i want to get for my coupe. I was thinking going with the Eibach pro kit, there an align. kit for it thats 409.00 a pair. Do you need this?
with the H&R springs do you need that also? Does the H&R kit make your tires wear uneven?
Thanks in advance.
CaMole 06-07-2009, 05:24 PM Both kits will have slight negative camber(unalignment). The alignment kit is not required but you will have some uneven wear of the tires.
BlueCoupe08 06-07-2009, 05:26 PM is there anything that wont cost 800 dollors to stop the negative ish?
Indubitably 06-07-2009, 05:38 PM I believe they have a 1 arm camber kit that is available now and it was under $200.. i dont remember the exact price.. but that corrects the uneven tire wear issue with lowering kits
BlueCoupe08 06-07-2009, 05:56 PM very niceee, 400 seems better then 800 dollors haha

chaqui74 06-08-2009, 03:02 AM Front could be done fine but rear you will need to get adj arm .
BlueCoupe08 06-08-2009, 03:15 AM and i buy two of these correct?
mystick6 06-08-2009, 06:15 AM Yup one for each side.
xJoeMama78 06-08-2009, 06:54 AM Yes, one for each side as mystick mentioned, but when you order ask if it's a kit or a single arm. Most shops sell the kit (2 arms) for $159, not $159 per arm.

mystick6 06-08-2009, 07:31 AM Did you Star. Glad to hear you got hooked up...
starbai 06-08-2009, 07:33 AM yea I actually got the 3 arm kit for the rear and the front ones as well... lol no coilovers yet. but my camber will definitly be in spec when I do! lol I wanted to get in on bobby's prices before he upped them again. lol
mystick6 06-08-2009, 07:45 AM Yea I hear that. Im about to pull the trigger on my coilovers or my navi next. Im not sure which one though... I got all my camber kits installed now and oh my god what an improvement it made. Before with the - camber I thought I needed at least 20mm spacers in the rear to make my wheels flush. Now with my alignment done I can use maybe 10mm but there pretty flush and the car looks so much better. You wont be sorry.
BlueCoupe08 06-10-2009, 06:11 PM how much did u pay for them from the guy from nopi?
xxDaJackalxx 06-10-2009, 06:18 PM Just an FYI, I am running Eibach Pro-Kit springs and never had a negative camber issue or anything similar. I installed them myself and took the car straight to the dealer for an alignment. Everything is perfect, no uneven wear, no shimmies, shakes or rattles. It's straight. But if you go lower than 1 inch, I'd heed all the great advice here-in.

Contact the guy from Nopi yourself. I remember him asking me not to post his prices on the forum.
