denttarek 06-11-2009, 02:00 PM i think it will be nice to also mention that you have a sort of a pre made kit for our cars interiors and they don't have to go hunting for the right one
A thread http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=30654 from a member who tried them with a nice write up and a DIY.
nighthawkcoupe 06-11-2009, 02:00 PM Nice, but 13000K? I have 6500k in my dome and maps, and even that is a little too blue for me.
XenonDepot 06-11-2009, 02:21 PM The Dome light kits will not be 13,000k. They will be more of a crisp white. Please view the above pictures to get an idea.
Steve
spikeitaudi 06-11-2009, 03:27 PM nighthawkcoupe, they say 13000k but there is noway that is the color. It is Crisp white more like 5000k in HID lights. 13,000k would be like dark purple which I can assure you they are not. If you want some more pics let me know and I will take some more.

If you could I'd love to see more pics of this because I'm very interested in buying!
laterr 06-11-2009, 04:24 PM Yeah, there is no way that it is 13000k. It is a mostly white light with a hint of blue. I'd compare it more to a 6500k HID color.
Signal9 06-11-2009, 04:35 PM How about making it easier and offer a package for 8th generation Sedan Accords that cover all the lights with the brightest possible leds that emit light in the correct direction etc.etc.
Front Dome lights
Rear Dome light
Front Door courtesy lights
Vanity Visor Lights
Glove box light
license plate light
Trunk light
denttarek 06-11-2009, 04:48 PM add the trunk to that and we are set

I added pics to my original thread all the way down at the bottom so more ppl could see. Sorry not the best pics as I have a point and shoot CanonSD630 which I cannot control the exposure time. Hope it helps.

I asked the same in my orginal thread. It would be very costly to do ALL the lights. But Steve does offer them seperately as needed.

XenonDepot 06-12-2009, 04:41 AM Hi Guys,
Thank you for your responses.
spikeitaudi - Thank you for your responses and for taking the time to post some more pictures. I hope it it's ok that I will also post these pictures in this thread so that people don't have to go back and forth between the two.

Signal9 -We do not put the kits together so it is not "our" decision. I did inquire about this though and was told that they had to keep costs down. While you may be OK spending an "X" amount of dollars on LED lighting others may not want to spend as much.
If however you are interested in getting all the lights upgraded just let me know and I will do my best to work with you.
I will tell you guys that slowly but surely we have been selling more and more of these Putco LED bulbs/kits and the results have been fabulous!! We are getting a lot of people that have never had LEDs in the past and we are getting a lot of people that had previously installed lower cost alternatives that burnt out.
Steve
Dreamacre 06-12-2009, 04:53 AM I still don't understand why you need to change the stock bulbs? :dunno:
I have never needed a brighter inside light, in any car.
felix 06-12-2009, 05:04 AM I'm glad you posted this; I was getting ready to buy them from you anyways.

You don't have to. Just the same as HID upgrades, shock and springs, etc... Nothing is needed. Just personel preference.
Also, FYI.. that last picture in Steve's post from my pics is from the outside in and the rear windshield was alittle dirty which is why it seems alittle more blurry then the others.
felix 06-15-2009, 09:43 AM Will you ever have replacement bulbs for the Daytime Running Lights?
XenonDepot 06-15-2009, 12:05 PM Not LED ones. We have tried those out in the past and have found the light output not to be very functional. If you are looking for an upgrade for the DRL I would suggest looking at our Putco Premium halogen bulbs found here:

XenonDepot 06-16-2009, 02:05 PM Just got some pictures / review of our LEDs installed in an Acura RSX:
here's the new LEDs that xenondepot is selling!
this review is of the standard 194 LED bulb, and the 194-360 bulb, both in white.
understand, i am NOT a photo expert. i took these with a 5 megapixel sony point and shoot. you will be able to tell where i used a flash and when i set the camera on a ledge.
i will update this review every month so we know how long the bulbs last.
so far, i like them a lot better than the ones i got from superbrightleds.com. these are brighter, and the build quality from a visual inspection is obviously better.
both the standard and the 360 bulb will fit in the front and rear parking lights. i didn't bother testing the 360 bulb in the license plate light.
here's some pics comparing them to the standard 194 wedge bulb.

Why is shipping 20.00??? Only one option ups. Shipping costs just about as much as the lights themselves. I would buy/try these but 46.00 for the lights ugg :(
XenonDepot 06-24-2009, 01:02 PM Down to $18.20.
UPS has a basic charge to ship anything regardless of weight.
Steve
jkcheng122 06-24-2009, 06:48 PM The problem is shipping from Canada that's really hurting that shipping charge.
Zephir 06-24-2009, 10:08 PM Hey, I want to order this kit, but why does it cost me 28.20 of shipping charges?
PS : I live in Canada.
XenonDepot 06-25-2009, 04:21 AM Hi,
The LED products ship directly from Putco. Unfortunately we do not control shipping charges as we charge you what we get charged. All items ship via UPS to ensure safe and secure shipping that is fully traceable. UPS has a basic shipping charge to ship anything (regardless of weight). Aside from the actual weight of the product, UPS also takes into consideration the dimensional weight of the item. Keep in mind that we do not just ship out a little box with LEDs inside of it. The items are very well packaged to ensure that they do not break during shipping.
Steve
Zephir 06-25-2009, 02:07 PM Still I don't think it justifies these shipping rates, but that's just my opinion.
You should consider sending stuff with Canada Post to Canadians or w/e lol.
gaewsky1 07-05-2009, 07:03 AM I purchased the interior dome lights for my car and love them. At night with tinted windows it was hard to see into the car (safety issues for my wife, she works at night). Now you can see everything even in the rear seats due to the rear doors tinted darker.
The interior when inside the car is nice and bright too.
XenonDepot 07-06-2009, 02:59 AM Glad to hear it gaewsky1! We have had VERY positive feedback from our customers that have upgraded their dome lights with our LED dome bulbs.
If you take any pictures, please do share them in this thread.

Instagator 07-08-2009, 09:13 AM Hey
I live in toronto, my map lights burnt out and I need 2 new ones. Can I pick these up in your store?
How much do they cost?
I saw them on your site but 48 bucks seem a little steep.
XenonDepot 07-08-2009, 11:04 AM Hi,
LED products ship directly from Putco so they are not warehouse here.
Steve
Instagator 07-08-2009, 11:48 AM I'll have to pass.. 72.69 for dome lights is pretty much, well.. too much.
Thanks anyway
XenonDepot 07-09-2009, 04:22 AM Hi,
The dome light kit contains three LED panels. Our dome light kits do not include single LED bulbs to replace your OE bulbs. You receive an actual panel of LED bulbs to obtain maximum light output and great functionality. There are lower cost alternatives out there however Putco uses premium components in their LED dome light kits.
These do ship directly from Putco so shipping is going to be around the $20 mark for a UPS international shipment.
Steve
Mochimellow 07-13-2009, 07:06 PM Still waiting, but still excited!
XenonDepot 07-19-2009, 09:37 AM If you PM me your order number I can look into this for you.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you however as posted, I was away for a week.

XenonDepot 03-17-2010, 01:45 PM Hi BPearl2010,
Thank you for the opportunity to earn your business.
As per your questions:
1) For the Accord dome lights you can either go with our Honda Accord LED Dome (http://www.KBcarstuff.com/2008_HONDA_ACCORD_PREMIUM_LED_DOME_LIGHTS_p/980072.htm) Light Kit. This is the same kit that spikeitaudi reviewed here (http://www.KBcarstuff.com/Honda_Accord_LED_Lighting_Dome_Kit_for_Review_s/319.htm). Our Honda Accord LED Dome lights kits will come with 3 LED panels that will be the brightest LED upgrade for your vehicle. Unlike similar alternatives, these LED panels will dim just like your stock bulbs:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj1z2Fqlhgw
Here are some shots of the LED Dome lights installed in an Acura RSX:
http://www.KBcarstuff.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/01-lg-stock.jpg
http://www.KBcarstuff.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/04-lg-putcox2.jpg
2) For a more economical upgrade, you can purchase our new DE3175 LED festoon bulbs (http://www.KBcarstuff.com/Putco_Premium_LED_Dome_Light_1_25_p/230125.htm) that will work as well. They are sold individually so you would need to purchase 3 of them to upgrade your map lights and dome light. These bulbs will offer you a nice amount of light output as well. Here is a picture of the bulbs installed a Honda S2000:
http://www.KBcarstuff.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/ledlights.jpg
Here are some shots of the bulbs installed in an Acura RSX glovebox:

AFTER:

3) License Plate: I would go with these 194 LED Wedge (http://www.KBcarstuff.com/194_LED_Replacement_Bulb_White_p/230194w.htm) bulbs. They are sold in pairs.
4) Reverse Lights: I would suggest going with the white 360 degree 921 LED bulbs (http://www.KBcarstuff.com/921_LED_360_Replacement_Bulb_White_p/230921w-360.htm) for maximum light output.
5) Turn Signal: I would go with the Nova Amber 1157 LED (http://www.KBcarstuff.com/1157_LED_Replacement_Bulb_Amber_p/232157a.htm) 360 degree bulb for the brightest possible output.
Putco LED products are going to be a little more expensive than many other products out there however light output and quality will be far superior. Many of our customers are ones that have previously purchased low cost alternatives and are tired of the bulbs flickering and going out. Once they receive the putco bulbs they can literally see & feel the difference. Once they actually install the bulbs they can appreciate the increased light output.
Here is a perfect example of a customer that just today posted a review about this exact same scenario:
