Just wondering if the 7th gen owners are having frequent rear pad changes like the many many 8th owners have reported. I'm on 2nd set now...04 V6. Did they make changes to the EBD system on the 8th gens?

View Full Version : Any difference in EBD between 7th and 8th gen? BLCKFLSH 06-14-2009, 06:17 AM I have an 03 EX V6. I changed the rear pads at 50k miles, and the front at 60k miles. This was the first car I've had where the rears wore down before the front. The 8th gen is a bigger car, so maybe that's why the pads are wearing even quicker on them. How are those Brembos and Akebono pads working out for you? RedAccordV6 06-14-2009, 06:31 AM Anyone know if they made the rotors smaller on the 8th gen rears? I'm impressed with the brembo/akebono setup so far. Much better then OEM before the swap...and NO DUST!!! Occasionally i hear my rears squeek a little bit, but thats expected now so i'm used to it. ezshift5 06-14-2009, 07:52 AM Have not had to do anything to my brakes yet, front or rear, and I am @ 42k! Same here (70,000 odometer) for this sailor. best, ez.... hillstones 06-14-2009, 07:56 AM I think my brakes have only been done once on my '03 V6 Coupe and I am at 60K. I think it primarily has to do with driving style. If you are a lead foot, you are going to wear the brakes down faster.
