ok, here are the pics....

the first one is of a necklace that i bought for someone back in 2000.

the second (set of three pics), and much more valuable, is the ring that i bought for my now ex-g/f (the idiot) in 2004 (spring)

both pieces bought from overseas, so they would catch a decent amt of $$ here in the states....

PM me for further information if interested....

ps: please wait till all pics are posted...... would very much appreciate it! thanks!

A bit of advice - use the macro setting in your camera. Those pics are so blurry they're hurting my eyes.

Need more details....assuming the ring is diamonds, whats the color (F, G, I, M???) the clarity? (S, I??) The karat???

If you're trying to also sell the necklace, the type of stones, karat.....????

Clearer pictures would definately be better!!!

The cut looks marquis on the ring....but you're right, I can't tell on the necklace.

honestly, the stones in the necklace are cubic zirconium and amethyst (sp?)...... however, the main value of the necklace is in gold, not the stones.....

as for the ring: i'll have to double check and let you know....

i can tell you that the ring is 18kt white gold, and the necklace is 18kt as well......

i honestly tried to put my camera in its highest setting, but it had a very difficult time focusing, with the dining room table in the background, and the ring inside the box.. tried to hold it up and take a pic, but that didn't work too well either.

Use the macro setting. It is designed for close up shots. It should look like a flower symbol. If you don't know where it is, I suggest you read your owner's manual.

This is an example shot taken with macro. The rose bud was less than a foot away. This is an unretouched shot. The blurring in the background you see is because the rose was out of focus while the bud was in focus.

So are the stones in the ring 5 marquis shaped ones or 10 round ones with the prongs making them look marquis??

If you have the papers from the purchase, it should have the weight, color & clarity. Something like 1 ct., I, S2..... Chain stores are normally selling things in I & J color, unless they're the certified....then they can be F, G or anything.

My 3 ct. ring is an I, I-1. It's boarderline colorless (looks it to me!)... the I with the number means it has an "inclusion", a flaw that can be seen with no enlargement. I can't, unless I magnify it.... but if I do there's a tiny line.

My 3 stone ring was hand picked & ordered. He bought 3 solitares & had it built to order. The .75 ct. center is a G, S1 the sides are .25's , one is a I, S & the other is a F, S. They look identical until you magnify them in the sunlight. Then the I stays just clear & the G & F take on a ever so slight bluish hint. It's from the sky, since colorless will take on the colors around it better. I even named them!! Isaac, George & Fred. :lmao:

He did the same thing with my 3 stone necklace....but had them make them into a Mickey head. Also certified. It totals 1 ct. A half & 2 quarters.

His 3 stone is a ready made....straight off the shelf, just sized. So it's got all I's.

Anyway having the info would help people know what you have there!!

i tried to search for the paperwork for the ring, but couldn't seem to find it (my family
is on vacation, and they would know exactly where it was)..... :(

i'll let you know as soon as i find out....

it is 5 marquis diamonds, for a total weight of .97 carat.
