I purchased my car in 07... It was a 03 Accord 4cyl LX with about 28000 miles on it... Ran great and it was certified which extended the power train warranty to 100000 miles. So great I purchased the car... Unfortunately the dealer never filed the paper work for the certified used Car... So when i take it to another dealer to get it checked the car does not come up as Certified used...

Here is the real issue... I took it in to another dealer close to work... I have a lot of vibration to the point that it has gotten annoying to drive the car. They diagnosed the problem and said that the motor mounts have to be replaced... This is when I found out that the car was never certified used... because the mounts are covered....

So I called the dealer which I purchased the car and they asked me to bring the car in for service they agreed to only replace one motor mount... the one on the passenger’s side... That took away a clunking noise that it was making but the vibration is still there... even more so with the AC on...

Right now as it stands I’m going back and forth dealing with this issue on something that is covered under warranty...
Lesson learned when you purchase a used car… make sure your dealer follows through with paperwork… I have never heard of this happening to anyone… :dunno:

I would assume when you purchased it, you would get a certificate or at least a statement on your purchase invoice that the car was under an extended warranty. That would provide you recourse if needed.

I don't know where you are located, but in california, sales by dealers/brokers have standard forms and certain disclosures - possibly what warranties are specifically included. I would double check if you have anything that can indicate the car was sold with the understaning it was under extended warranty. If you have that, go back to the dealer and have them fix it and make you whole.

Being an '07, isn't it still under the factory warranty anyway?:dunno: Aren't they 5/50K or something like that now???

opps, missed that!

The purchase dealer should have record since they'd (used car) have to pay the service department for the inspection.:dunno:
