OK guys and gals, I would like to take a moment or three to fill everyone in on our next meet. This one should be interesting to say the least. The plans are still on to meet at the Sonic in Plano as we did last time at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 18th. I personally called and spoke with a manager this time to see if they would have a problem with this since I know we kind of got the eye last time. He said that he didn't see a problem with this. Although, what I would like to request out of respect to them is that we only use the awning that is separated from the main building and that if we have any overflow vehicles that they either use the gas station next door or the parking lot behind the Sonic. I don't want to interrupt any business of theirs and cause problems for future meets there.

As some of you may already know, the guys over at CupCakeMeet.com are also having theirs on the 18th at 5:00 pm. Now I personally, along with a few others here, attended their last meet in Grand Prairie and I have to say this was something else. We had over 100 cars there and anticipate seeing more at this one.

I propose that we cut ours short this time and head over to their meet. It will be held at the Huffhines Park in Richardson at 1500 Apollo Road. Should be plenty of parking for everyone. They are also planning on having a BBQ this time.

I have been in contact with their vice president ever since the previous meet and he is planing on attending our meet as well. However, since both he and I along with other key members of their site have a lot of setting up to do at the park, we will be needing to head over their early to get things ready for everyone else. So basically our meet will be a pre-meet to theirs. Now just because we have to leave early does not mean that everyone else has to. If you want to stay behind and come over later that's fine. If you want to go ahead and follow us there as a group, then that would be great. It's all up to what the rest of you decide to do.

Since their meet starts at 5:00, we are looking at heading out around 3:00. If everyone follows, you can just continue our meet at that location. Since it is a park, their is plenty of shade trees to get away from the heat.

Again, I am attaching a map of the details for the two locations and the drive between them.



Breaking it all down:

Meet location #1: Sonic in Plano (721 Jupiter Road)
Date: Saturday July 18th
Meet time: 2:00 pm

Leave around 3:00 pm for CCM

Meet location #2: Huffhines Park in Richardson (1500 Apollo Rd)
Arrival time: around 3:30 pm
End time: around 8:00 pm

and heres the layout for parking that day - we are goign to try our best to stick to this for photoshoot/picture purposes but if all fails its first come first serve. also the reason that there is car models on the map is that these groups has contacted me for reserve parking - everyone else is first come first serve. feel free to hit me up w/ quesitons and commetns about the layout - its not 100% set in stone.

The only '09 V6-6 belize blue accord left around Texas is @ bentonville, arkansas, and another in OK city, OK (but it has a bunch of accessories). (non-navi) Less than 300 miles away lol. I'll see what I can do. I don't want to have to settle for crystal black pearl here in Dallas, 'cause I'll regret not getting blue later. I suspect whatever is left are the last ones for '09. Surely they are producing 2010's now, for the fall/winter sales.

BTW, ya'll don't freak out when you see me pulling up with a trailer. I've got the grill along with several other items for the CCM meet and they just wouldn't fit in the trunk. :lmao:

Didn't have that many show up at the Sonic and I'm sure that's because we didn't stay their long. However, at the CCM, holy cow. We broke our record again from last meet. Rough numbers were around 370. No joke. We packed the park literally. Ran out of parking spaces. Had 2 Lamborghini's, 1 Lotus, 3 GT R's that I counted, a dozen Vette's and pretty much something from all the major manufacturers. Between pop's and I we got almost 400 pics. Of course many of these were duplicated since we were taking the same shots and using burst on our cameras. I'm in the process of uploading them on Photobucket. Once up, I'll post some pics. I tell ya, next time you see a posting for an event hosted by CCM you have got to be there.

We had two officers there to overlook things. They didn't bother us and were very friendly. We were glad to have their pressence.
