Yeah, I was wondering about this too! I didn't know if it was the seatbelt warning or some other thing... It sounds mean though! I like it =D. I think I will stick with injen's cai though.
krn118 06-28-2009, 01:01 AM wear ur seatbelt. lol
A&Fbro28 06-28-2009, 06:04 AM Yes becoming a paraplegic from my car wearing my seatbelt, i'd have been killed if i was NOT. Do the right thing bro and represnt safety. You'll regret it if you don't.

Youcan use the sensors that came in your car. i learned this the haard way as the Civic sensors that came with my hfp would not work. i just swapped them with my stock sensors. You'll be set.

Yea they'll charge you. Or maybe they just need to reset them. But I would take care of that.
fLYaZZbRASilenO 06-28-2009, 10:36 AM yea ill tell them to check it out when i go for a transmission flush soon..im bout to hit 30k miles...
07AccordEx-L 06-28-2009, 10:55 AM Wow it's gutless until it hits 4,500-5,000 RPM. and yes like they all said, put ur seatbelt on.
GTFan712 06-29-2009, 09:27 PM So there's no CEL with the Takeda?
Do you feel any difference in the before/after performance wise? The Takeda website is crediting the intake with like 13HP gains, which I'm afraid to believe. Just wondering, still contemplating over Fujita/Takeda.

willyro12 06-29-2009, 11:43 PM i doubt that it really adds 13 hp.. but i could easily be wrong
rockman 06-30-2009, 12:12 AM -your motor sounds GREAT--I'd like to get one of those INTAKES as I have the I4 5m.--were'd you get it?? I kmnow ya posted the online store I forgot.
Also, I remember seeing your post awhile back & didn't you just leave your Stock AIRBOX in its originalPosition(but dis-connected)??
Thankyou...

there's no CEL for the takeda and yes i do feel a difference,i wud recommend takeda, fujita is a very good brand but takeda is good for the money.. idk if it was really 13hp.. nd def not that much to the wheels, but i do feel a difference in torque and top end power. i have an AT I4, so im happy with comparing to a tsx at around 200hp. i dont race my car..just wanted a lil extra kick and a nice sound when im merging on a highway..this is my nice looking daily driver,if i wanted more tickets and a really fast car, i wud of put my money into a older civic bubble with a k20 si motor..but whats the point of spending so much money on gas and driving around a track car? lol if i had the money and wanted a daily driver, but alot of power and luxury and looks.id get the 335i coupe and chip it like my boy did...370hp to the wheels...ayyy its actually scary sitting in the car when he unleashes the power..lol i plan on getting a bmw later in life when i start a family..probably shoot towards a 07 m5 or something...bimmers dont really lose their value so it will still b a nice penny later on..i do know i am keeping this accord for a long time. wheter it b the future wife's car or w/e

thnx...i got it from ridetuner.com and yeah i do have my stock airbox sitting in my hood. im taking it off sometime this week when i install my hids in the fogs..would make it alot easier to access the bulbs in the future.. and i dont even need that plastic there..urs is a MT so u wud prob feel more of a difference...my bro put a AEM intake in his Si and it sounds great in the k20 and i chirped the tires in 3rd gear..
A&Fbro28 06-30-2009, 06:21 AM i doubt that it really adds 13 hp.. but i could easily be wrong
You'll def feel 13hp gain in the winter... Not in the heat of the summer. (well u still would have 13hp gain from what it would be in the summer too as its all relative). I like this intake for the big tq gains (16 ft/lbs). It adds the "guts" thats missing in mid-range...lol.

Kayzle 06-30-2009, 09:21 AM I don't know if the intake has anything to do with it but that engine sounds mean
rwlib3 06-30-2009, 09:57 AM sounds good... curious to hear the difference between the Tadeka and just removing the intake resonator. I'll try and post a comparison vid this evening.

yeah, i thought my engine sounded good when i 1st got it lol but now is like woah, ppl look at me on the highway, when im just speeding up a little, sounds similar to a g37 =] nice mean growl
rockman 06-30-2009, 11:01 PM thanks FlyaZZbrasileno--I wanna leave my airbox ON so if I need warranty work I could take the new intake OFF & hook-up the old airbox...BUT I love the sound your motor makes!
asaga1 07-01-2009, 02:49 AM It sounds good. Put your seatbelt on man. Haha.
ditto
ViPaDawG 01-08-2010, 08:16 PM Don't mean to revive a dead thread, but I'm curious about the power loss during the higher temperatures. I'm curious how noticeable this is in day to day driving. Is it worse than stock? Insight is appreciated.
You get 13 Hearing Power! (HP!) woooot! now thats some win :)
Edit:

The engine runs hotter during the day.. if your REALLY that scared about power loss, buy some dry ice and sit it next to your intake box. that will cool it down :)
Ofcourse there will be powerloss but you are not going to notice it.
Ill say this. My custom cold short ram air intake gave a notice-able difference compared to when it was a plain short ram. (Shortram lost power, with the tube conected towards the front bumper, i have either went back to stock power, or added a bit more), but there was no noticeable difference from night to day.

You'll enjoy the extra 16ft/lb of torque even more.
