i want to invite all of the NYC ALIVE Crew along with the new E.C.A.P. event that i have started to the 1st meet of 09' here are the details:

Date: July 26th

Follow these guidelines and we should have a positive gathering:
1. NO Burnouts
2. NO Reving your engine
3. No loud music - we will try to provide music for everyone
4. No Open containers - please have cups for all alcohol, beer, ect.
5. please respect each other - Any negative outburts will not be tolorated.

please bring the following items:

1. Burgers & Buns
2. Hot Dogs & Buns
3. Water, Juice, Soda
4. Grill - if you have an extra grill please bring it with you - it will make cooking food so much faster.
5. Steak
6. chicken
7. Beer - lol
8. suntan lotion
9. OFF
10. cooler with ice
11. Chairs

and what ever else you think i may have forgotten.

This is the first meet for NYC ALIVE and E.C.A.P. the location will not be as nice as let say Harriman State park where i host my regular meets but this is just a trial run. after the success of this first gathering i will collab. with Brian and his partner from NYPOC to set up a meet at a better location with benches and a recreation section so people can get their football or basketball game on. we might need to set up a softball game too..but lets see how this goes first.

Might be interested, is this not for DA members? Will there be assistance with MODs?

well this is really only for accords & preludes..but i am sure i will have some people show up in other things..lol
as for mods, i did not really include them in this since this is something new i am doing and for this first intial meet i just wanted to see how a dry run would look like before i ask the mods for help.

I guess I should have been clearer.
I am a NYC resident (Queens). I am a DriveAccord.net member and not familiar with NYC ALIVE or E.C.A.P.
At the last meet I organized at Huntington Honda (1/17/09) we received assistance in making modifications to our Accords from more experienced forum members and staff of the dealership.

well i started NYC ALIVE as a 5th gen accord club, but i change that and made it open to all Generation accords.

I just started E.C.A.P. (East Coast Accords & Preludes) as a project to see if we accord and prelude owners can get some kind of buzz going and let everyone know its not just civics and tegs in the world of honda.

as for more experience to modding your car, this meet will be held at my mechanics shop and he has been in the honda game a very long time..and we will have a lot of other members that know a lot more than lets say you and I.

Not sure about Manhattan, but in queens there is D & D Auto glass and Ilussions.

i dont have someone for tints yet..i am going to try a place around here in astoria, i will let you know if they do a good job and then try to work out some kind of deal with them..

Jersey Shore may be lovely, however, not interested in spending half my day driving in bumper to bumper GSP beach traffic getting there. Sorry, but this city boy likes the idea of only having to drive about 10 miles to a meet and not leave my state. NYC ALIVE, let's see what you've got to offer. :thmsup:

lol...dont get me wrong i love going to nj meets and the beach sounds fun...but this meet is for all my nyc alive people and ksills...we might be moving the meet over to sunken meadow park...since the location i have might be too small..but dont worry i will have people there ypu can talk to about the door handles...

There is northbound traffic later in the afternoon, however, but then again, I often return home around 130-2pm!

The Jersey Beach Meet (http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=33039) at Belmar NJ is still on for this Sunday. We got approval from the Belmar mayor, police department, and boro council to make this Honda Accord boardwalk meet a big success!! We even got an full description at the www.belmar.com official web site as well as a rain date too. :thmsup:

All DA members are welcome BUT you need to register so we can reserve you a parking spot.
