Anything cool to do in and around the city?

I'm renting a car so I'll be able to travel a bit but the trip is only for a few days so I dont want to travel too far to the point where i'll need to get a hotel room for the night or something... day trips at max from the greater san diego area

Any recommendations (other than the zoo) ?

darn bro, I am broke right now waiting for workers comp, or I would drive down there and tear it up with ya. I think SD has a website that has a ton of discounts and ideas for when your in town. If you wanted to drive to Torrance I could get you into Hondas' private museum if it is a week day. When do you arrive in town?

DAmn dude that would be so sick.

I arrive thursday evening and I leave Tuesday morning... I'll be renting a car so driving up there is definitly an option! let me know if you can make it happen and I gotta chekc the schedule with the g/f to make sure I can do it. But man that would be freakin cool as hell.

any updates on that pw? gonna be possible or no?

I am spacing out on the PW.....remind me. I will put in a call to a good buddy at Honda R&D and see if we can get in to the museum. I think it is open every weekday till 4. I will let you know what I find out.

San Diego Zoo (probably the most famous in the country if not the world), and SeaWorld, and all you have to offer him is the Honda museum? :dunno::thumbsdow

Are you for real......
Did you not bother to read my posts. I am around 80 miles away from SD too.
FWIW, he pm'ed me and was very excited about the chance to see the private museum. So what are YOU bringing to the thread besides the easiest 2 answers, one he already posted.......:blah:

LoL Turbodave thanks for stickin up for me, but i'm a honda fanatic ever since before I started driving, going to a private honda museum would be more exciting to me than some koala bears and shamu lol.... though I'm sure the G/F will end up taking us to at least one of those two (zoo or sea world)

Remember I'm from FL so I can go to our Sea World anytime, but I probably will make it to the Zoo as one of the points on my things to do.

Any updates boss? I'm trying to decide whether or not to rent a car to come to the LA area on Monday.

If this doesn't happen I'm not sure the cost of the car is worth it (expensive because i'm only 24)

I went to the SD zoo this weekend. It sucked lol. We left after about two hours. I was down there to see the Dodgers play. If you enjoy baseball you might want to check into that.

yea grew up going to yankee stadium... i lived like 4 blocks away from itt until I was 15.

we may check something like that out.

09^CBP^6MT I seriously do appreciate the offer and effort... woulda been like so freakin cool since I'm such a honda freak...

It is what it is though and again thanks for trying.

So far the only thing on the agenda is a Day trip to LA on Monday (not sure what the hell we're doing there)

San Diego zoo one of the days fri-sunday... but beyond that nothing else planned.

CA seems boring lol. (at least the san diego area)
