You can actually buy the OEM Honda Inspire HID headlamps on some auction websites for $300, but that doesn't include shipping (the shipping becomes ludicrous, so if you ever go to Japan and know someone who has a permanent address there, have it shipped there, pick it up and have it stored as a package on the way back). Retrofits aren't necessarily expensive, it only really gets expensive if you want to keep your stock set as well (barring that you don't ruin anything too).
