Hey all,
So next month Uncle Sam is shipping me off to S. Korea. I was just wondering if anyone has had their Accord out there (military most likely).
I am curious about things like parts availability, places to get servicing done, etc.:dunno:

Thanks for any input.

Besides doing your own work (ie. oil changes, brakes, tires, and lube) at the autocraft shop on some of the posts over there, I believe they do have Acura and Honda dealers around so that you can get your car serviced off post. I remember back in the early 90's when I was in High School, I saw quite a few 2nd Gen Acura Legends (the ones in Korea were called Arcadia or something like that). After that, the last time I was over there was in 2000 for only 2 months before the Army sent me off to muther Rucker for flight school. I know this doesn't help you out but for those two months, I didn't pay any attention to any of the cars over there, I was pretty inebriated most of the time to even care.

For what it's worth, if it will make you feel any better about the possibility of Honda dealerships over there, you can google search Honda Korea and you'll get quite a few hits. If you can read Korean, you can porbably search their websites to find out the closest dealership to where you'll be stationed (google translation didn't work for me). Good luck!

Thank you gtspaceii for the reply. For as much as I use Google, I never thought to search for Honda dealers over there. Thanks again for the tip.

Glad your family is going!! If my prince went on a long tour, it would have been a year of isolated... yuck! At the time, they were sending guys to Alaska for a year without their families. If you went to England, I think you could take them.

****Princess here....under my prince's log-in.
