If they don't oblige ask them to speak to the manager about it and if you don't get the deal you'll just let the sub end. Denby 07-17-2009, 10:49 AM thanks man appreciate it starbai 07-17-2009, 11:39 AM Yea my free trial should be up soon... I want to renew but I'm not paying 13 bucks a month for it. dont want it that bad. Don't give them a credit card unless you want your sub to auto renew at a much higher rate. If they jerk you around, just threaten to cancel and you'll get the $77 deal. Sirius/XM is bleeding really badly financially, and they won't lose a subscriber if they can help it. At that time I had to use my CC since that was the only option I had. They apparently still have the CC # in their system but I made sure that I would call them before my year was up. That was July 24th, 2008. I just called XM today and told them I would cancel my sub cuz I didn't want to pay the $149 1-year plan. They asked if I'd reconsider if the price was different. I told them I had it for $77 last year and if I could get it again for same price I'd keep it. So they just gave me the deal with no complaint. Hope this helps anyone who uses a CC. Just make sure you call them up before your yearly sub is up! Drowzee 07-17-2009, 05:06 PM With XM on the verge of bankruptcy, they'll take whatever they can get. Signal9 07-17-2009, 06:28 PM XM just needs to apply for some TARP funds like everyone else. |
