I currently have 4.31 on my 06 EX-L coupe and was thinking about upgrading to 4.73. On some websites I read that you cannot go from 4.31 to 4.73 but have to be at 4.55 or higher to get to 4.73, is this true? Also, is it possible to make a backup of my 4.31 DVD? I don't want anyone to steal it or it get damaged by accident. Thanks

There are no upgrade issues with the Map DVD's. You can upgrade from any previous version.

What is not recommended is downgrading to a previous version. So no need to make a backup of your previous disc. You can sell the old disc on eBay and someone will buy it. From what I have heard is that you cannot make a copy of the Map disc. Honda does not recommend using a copy, only the original DVD. I would assume the drive probably doesn't read DVD-R's very well.
