Sup Guys,

I have a 06 accord EX sedan with Nav. I was installing a AudioControl LC7 from my factory head unit in order to install a 1200 Alphasonik 5 channel amp. I was tedius in ensuring that i followed the instructions correctly and rechecked everything before connecting the - battery terminal and starting the car. When i started the car the NAV asked me for the security code which i entered. The Nav. turned on and worked fine but my radio isnt operating at all and there isnt any sound. Nothing responds when i hit the audio button or when i push the volume in to turn on the radio nothing responds not even on the Nav screen. Am i suppose to enter a security code for the nav and one for the radio?

The only wires that I tapped into from the factory harness when installing the Audio Control LC7 are the ones listed in bold;

I cant understand it? Has anyone ever experienced this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, the Nav has one security code and the radio has a different security code. The nav code is entered through the touchscreen, which you already did. The radio code is entered by turning the tuning knob and selecting the numbers (by pressing the tuning knob) that appear in the upper sub display. When you turn on the radio, the upper display is blank until you start turning the tuning knob, then you will see the numbers, only one at a time when you turn the tuning dial.

You should have received the radio/nav code card with your vehicle. It will have the 4 digit code for the nav and 4 digit code for the radio. If not, there is a sticky thread for the radio code website by Honda. Or, the dealer can get the radio code using the serial number off the radio.

Of course the sticky thread is not in the Audio section, it is in the 7th Gen section:

Hillstones,

Thanks, Unfortunately when i purchased the car it didnt come with an owners manual. I wasnt aware that there were two security codes, one for the nav and one for the radio.

Thanks
