I found a TON of info on ALL Data and on NHTSA... where are you getting all those TSBs? I need to find them for my '96...i see most of yours on this thread are '98 and above. my car's current repair needs: Actuator--door locks (i see u posted a tsb for 98 and above door locks) ECV--emmisions rotor resurfacing oil leak (second one i've had this yr)...dealer told me it was leaking from the "top" as opposed to the bottom. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! kristen:) princess 12-03-2003, 08:02 AM I can get pretty much any TBS you need. It's easier if you have a number or a specific problem. I'll see what I can find with the info you gave me. "top" oil leaks are often the valve cover gasket. It should be replaced at valve adjustment times. (15K) I have access to this stuff because my "prince" is one of those dreaded tech's & works for Honda. I can pass on the info, but not the site. princess 12-03-2003, 08:43 AM kristen, For me to find things about the emmisions stuff I need more info. What is the problem? They commonly need an EGR clean out for some types of symptoms. It's such a large area! I posted some general stuff on the things you listed. If there's something more specific, I'll gladly look. Hopefully Wardsweb can do whatever rearranging needed. Maybe a separate catagory for 94-97 so things are a bit easier to find!!:) princess 12-03-2003, 01:52 PM If your EGR is the problem, it's probably in need of a "clean out". It's part of the intake manifold. I'm attaching an article that has some explanation... tenner14 12-03-2003, 02:00 PM princess you are awesome. you have no idea how much i thank you for all that info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! princess 12-03-2003, 02:47 PM You're welcome! I'm doing my best to share any info I can get. I guess in a way it's could bite me in the butt seems how my prince works on these & it's our bread & butter! I believe that informed owners are usually better at describing their problems, so it could make life easier for him in the long run. When he used to do sidework at home I'd do all the talking with the owners because he'd get too technical & I'd see their eyes glaze over. So I'd be interpreting. When someone would call with a malfunction going on, I'd know their car & could usually come up with the possibilties. He's been doing this for a very long time & spouses have a tendency to learn about each other's interests. Anyway, if you come across another need, just holler!:D |
