Hey all, what's up? My name is Brett, and as you can tell from my signature, I drive an '03 Accord V6 6MT coupe. I've gotta say that this is one of the most organized Honda forums I've come across in a while. For a little over a month I've been browsing these forums and reading a bunch of threads and found tons of answers to questions I've had about my car! Anyway, I finally got the motivation to join, and I hope to help a bunch of people out or just kick back and chat with you guys. I'm a late night person, so don't be surprised if a bunch of your questions are answered like at 4 AM or something.
Anyway, this is my second Accord (and second Honda) and I've gotta say that I love it! My last Accord, a 97 LX I4 AT sedan, was a pretty decent car. I swore I'd never get rid of it. I was gonna put the 220 HP H22 motor in it and add this and that to it, but it developed so many problems (mainly due to negligence since I was sick of it) and I had to get another car. Well, lucky me, I found my baby. It had only 45,696 miles when I bought it (for roughly $11,600). It needed new tires and brake pads, and the only problems it developed were the radio backlight going out and the slave cylinder went out. I got the slave cylinder fixed, but when it broke, as a result of trying to force the car into 1st gear when the clutch wasn't disengaging, the gear feels scratchy now if I don't shift into it only at a standstill. As for the backlight going out, Honda wants to charge me labor costs since they claim the aftermarket graphic equalizer that I have installed could have caused the backlight to go out even though I'm 99% sure that the reason it went out is because of a dead resistor. Anyway, if Radio Shack carries the proper resistor (2.4 Ohms), I'll fix the backlight myself. Well this post is getting kinda long, so I'm gonna end it. But yeah, hey all I'm new here and woot, Accords!
