View Full Version : Tein Springs & Tokico Blues Installed!!!
dmo069 07-31-2009, 05:43 PM Drives like a whole new car. The front didn't drop as much as I would have liked. Maybe I should cut a little more off the bump stop? Dunno. anyway, still very satisfied ...

It would have been much easier with a helper and I had never done springs or struts before. Did the whole thing myself with a basic jack and hand tools. I did put one side back together with the bump-stop upside down and had to take it off and do it all over ...
I figure I could do it in 4 if I had to do it again. I'm having a hard time believing you and your friend did it in one hour. I can maybe believe two, but one? Seriously?

well that makes sense that it would take u a little longer...doing that by yourself would be no fun...and no air tools will kill u to
yeah just one hours...did the front two first..by the time i had the second wheel off my friend had the first side broken down and the assmebly off the car...guess it helps to have the right tools...not to mention this wasnt our first lowering job ...we both have never had a car that wasnt lowered haha

Does the gap in the front still look a little high? Cut a little more off the bump-stop?

i think the gap in the front will always be more ?? at least my car is the same way
cambonesian 08-01-2009, 11:28 AM it will look higher because is look at it closely the front wheel is i higher that the rear.
kenshin 08-01-2009, 01:55 PM the stock accord always have the front gap little bit bigger than the rear. now that u lowered it, it will still have the same result in the front is a little bit higher than the rear, but that shouldn't look too bad. if u try to make the gap even on both front and rear, u would end up having the car kinda tilt down in an angle, what i mean is the under carrige wouldn't stay parrallell to the ground.

I'm not too bothered. I love the way it handles better now, so that greatly outweighs the gap issue. Thanks!
07AccordEx-L 08-01-2009, 02:02 PM The only reason the front will always look higher is because the rear fender is lower than the front fender. U can have like a 1.9 drop in the front and maybe a 1.4 in the rear and it will still come out that way. Drop looks great by the way =)

BTW, how do you like your Ingall's Stiffy? That's probably gonna be my next purchase.
07AccordEx-L 08-01-2009, 10:48 PM I love it. Your car will pull harder. Very noticeable results, and well-worth the money.
Only downside is cabin vibration but I think yours won't be as bad because v6 are smoother running engines.
hillstones 08-01-2009, 11:36 PM I like the mysterious black pole that appears and disappears in the photos.
