Hi all,

anyone know what kind of tools i should have/would be able to get if i want to take off the front bumper. i have a socket set, but i'm mostly referring to a tool that'll help me undo those clips? thanks.

I'm pretty sure you can buy a set of removal tools from Harbor Freight Tools for less than $10.

Special tool? I used a flathead screwdriver with no problems. Some may be brittle, I would pick up some new ones in case.

100mm socket wrench/spanner, flat head screwdriver, philips screwdriver. dont put too much pressure on the clips with the screwdriver. ive taken them off 3 times total and all my clips are still fine.

also make sure when you take off/put the bumper you dont scratch the paint on the area on the sides right above the bumper and behind the headlights.

anyone know where i can get a picture of how these clips are made? not where they're located, but how they're designed so i know how to apply the pressure in the right spot?

$80 trim puller? Special tools? Wow. None of this is necessary folks. If you are attempting to remove your front bumper and questioning how to remove these simple clips, maybe you should have someone knowledgeable help? Not trying to be a jerk, just an observation

Anyway, here is the clip. Put a flathead screwdriver between the red lines, pull up carefully.

Get a box of extras in case. Here are all the Honda fasteners:

ugg -- I hate those plastic fasteners. They are EVERYWHERE! And they can get brittle and break. def. get spares.

A trim panel removal tool at any auto parts store is less than $10.

Flat head screwdriver. Stick it in the slot, twist and it pops off. Then you can pull the center piece out. Sometimes the whole thing will come out as one, sometimes the middle piece comes out first and you have to pull the bottom piece off. I've never had one break on me.

It is because you are in Cali! Here in the NE, they become somewhat brittle and break.
