My question is above.
I was just curious what this is after reading the 7th gen tranny failure log in the problems section.

The kit repositions one of the oil return line to rinse the problemetic gear set with transmission fluid, the idea was to add more lubrication and also introduce better means of carrying away the excess heat sustained by this gear set.

Accord2004:
Having intensely studied Honda's automatic trannies the past several months, I can tell you this, with absolute certainty, and in concurrence with what Aviography states.
On the 5ATs, beginning in 2003, they have oiling problems to the second-gear clutch pack. Known issue: Inadequate lubrication, leading to overheating, leading to gearset/clutch pack failure. To my knowledge, most affected are 2003 and 2004 vehicles. I believe there is an "oil jet kit" your dealer can install, possibly under a warranty action. Please run your VIN through AHOA to verify and also check with your dealer.
