So a about a month ago (boy that took a while) i bought a jl ho110r from dealercostcaraudio. The sub works fine but my shop is seeming to have some trouble. It has been hooked up to the rear speakers and it continues to get current when the radio/cd player is off. So at time ill just be driving and hear THUD THUD... Does anyone have this issue aswell and or know how could i fix it? Im leaving for school in 3 weeks so any help is greatly appreciated!

If it matters, im using an alpine mrp-500 amp.

ANC issue...

Does THUD THUD only occur when engine rev is at 1500-2000RPM?

I keep this thread subbed now so anyone who ask about ANC I can find the link quickly.

Read through it and it's pretty easy to take care of the ANC issue on your own. One thing though, since your shop didn't know about it, I wouldn't go to them if you have future installations that needs done.

Thanks. I had done some research in the mean time but i turned anc off and it only made the hum much longer in duration... So i take it i need to disconnect the mics?

What you turned off is SVC, speed volume control or something to that nature. That doesn't help at all. You'll need to disconnect the ANC mics either at the two locations or at the back of the factory head unit.

The THUD nearly drove me crazy before I got rid of it.

Haha trust me im going insane... Guess ill have to take it back to get the mics removed but i figured the shop would know of it considering they do installs for a honda dealer nearby...

You can disable the mics yourself. There's a couple threads about it laying around. One is under your rear deck, and the other is up by your map lights up front.
