Hey guys, I recently purchased a pair of HID's and some ccfl angel eyes from Retro-fit (who I must say is EXTREMELY helpful and patient) and i just wanted to know is it possible to install angel eyes on a sedan?

I seen quite a few threads with them installed (on coupes) and didnt realize that when i was researching they were all on the coupe. :dunno: my mistake.

So if anyone has them or has seen them done, can u please tell your experience or story.

P.S. I emailed lightwerkz about it and he said it doesnt work for the sedan because of the large reflector and the low beam would ultimately probably cause damage to the plastic around the ring....and basically would need a projector conversion :dunno: but it would cost me mucho $$$

Opinions please? I really love the angel eyes look.

There's your answer, you'd need a retrofit.

Thanx gents, so get myself a retro-fit Ill do a "search" and some more research on retro-fits for the sedan as far as pricing and installations go. I have a few extra hundred to spend. If not i guess ill just hold on to the eyes until I save up enough to do the retro.

Thanx again

If you're in Jersey maybe go straight to Lightwerks and get a quote. I've not seen a single member who had a job done there that didn't praise Caesar for the works he did.

Yes, it can be done on sedans but you have to reassembly the whole housing and put the silicone back on the prevent water.

that is hella nice man
personally i think the sedans angel eyes on the reflector housing is nicer than the angel eyes on the projecters
how do you have to reassemble the housing? Please explain because I am interested in this too...I want angel eyes, but have no $$$ for a retrofit :D

Also OP how much did the angel eyes cost you?
did u get 2 or 4?

plain and simple Caesar knows his stuff..........just save your money and get a retrofit you will be extremely happy....I know a member here has a sedan and has lightwerkz retrofit and he couldn't be happier

WOW now I dont feel as bad now, that I kno its an option! would u happen to have any further explantion on the procedure? I've read u have to re-sillicone the housing etc. Also is this your personal vehicle or someone u kno that can help me out?

Thanx dude, i kno alot of ppl here dont like to discuss price out of respect for the installers but is there anyway he or anyone can give a ballpark of what we need to have for a retro-fit? I just need to know what im saving and how long it"ll take me to get there ya kno? I really do want to go with lightwerkz as u said everyone is VERY pleased with his work.

They are not my car. I got the pics from the shop that sell these. I've talked to them they said it takes 3 hours to do them and you have to take the whole bumper out in order to take the front light out then you have to reassemble the whole housing of the reflectors then the put the ccfl inside. I mean the ccfl should be inside the round projector so you need to re-silicone them back. Those ccfl also need small ballast to run them like HID.

You probably bought the wrong size of CCFLs from retrosolutions because you didn't even know if the CCFLs would work on the sedan. I think you bought the smaller ones that fit the coupe projectors.

If you look at the photo of the eyes on the sedan reflectors, they look too small for the low beams. I thought that was strange. I also wanted to put CCFLs in my headlights but I'm not sure anymore.

^true I was going with the size ppl were posting not knowing it was for a coupe. Well my order has already been shipped so I'll take a look and see, if they are wrong I'm pretty sure retro will let me exchange them if that's the case

damn bro $70 is really good...I saw it on eBay for $200 for all 4!!! I knew it seemed too expensive lol
heres the link anyway: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360136438270&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Smithv:

Is there a way to put the ccfl on the tip of the outside of the projector?
Also isnt taking the headlight apart and using silicone to "glue" the ccfl on, the normal way to do it?
Is there anything different that needs to be done because of our reflector housing?

I was wrong you should put the ccfl on tip of the projector and if the size are right it will hold on the tip but you still need to reinforce it with the silicone but you have to be careful not to use too much so it won't spoil inside surface of your housing.
The way to take the housing apart is to hot blow it and the old silicone will become sticky so you can take it apart and then after you install ccfl then you can re-silicone it, find a good one maybe Honda has it.

Yes sir! Already done. I gather from what he told me that I need to have a custom conversion. Which, if it's the right price I'll jump on it! Lol

hey smithv can I ask where ur getting the images from? Link? So I can see if I have the correct sizes.
