jarrod2k5 08-04-2009, 01:44 AM I went and changed my interior bulbs wit the correct bulbs. I went to change my trunk light and It went on then turned off. I tried wiggling the bulb but soon noticed my interior lights wouldn't work. I went in and tried to turn the lights on but it won't go on.so now my trunk, maps, and dome lights won't turn on. Only exterior and my glove compartment lights go on. Somebody I need help or let me know what's happening or happend. Will it work again or is it done?

Why did you replace the bulbs? Are they LEDs? Do the original bulbs work? :dunno:
GTFan712 08-04-2009, 03:10 AM Wild possibility, is the car's battery dead?

Danielc409 08-04-2009, 10:53 AM Check the fuses ...
authentichk 08-04-2009, 10:57 AM LED only works on the correct polarity(not sure if that's the word), basically positive to positive, negative to negative. just flip the LED and see.
Also, could be the voltage is too high that blow the LED?
xxDaJackalxx 08-04-2009, 10:59 AM It's the fuse for the interior lights in the fuse box located in the engine bay. Same thing happened to me when I changed my trunk light to an LED.

i know what you mean the first time i did the maps and dome i figured it out. but i wish that was the problem but unfortunately its not. im affraid that this is not covered under warranty because i was changing it and it didnt jus crap out on me.

should i just change the fuse even though its still good and not blown?
Danielc409 08-04-2009, 11:13 AM Sometimes it maybe blown but can't really notice. When I was doing my HID's i use one of those things that tests the fuse. Won't hurt to try putting new ones in to see.
authentichk 08-04-2009, 11:15 AM so does your light work if you put back your stock light bulbs?
L's TLS 08-04-2009, 12:14 PM the fuse is blown, just change it. And make sure you are changing the right one

I do not remember my 08 Accord that well, but I believe there was a timer on the interior lights - if you leave the door(s) open for a specific period of time, they automatically turn off - presumably to prevent a dead battery. If that is the way they work, then the timer resets after you close the doors. That would be why your lights did not work until you came back to the car later.
Just my foggy memory of the light system.
