okay so. i hit a bad pothole at like 120mph, and really messed up the axles. from then on there was violent shaking on any acceleration, that would smooth out as i release the throttle.reluctantly, i replaced both axles with gsp axles from advance auto since i couldnt afford the other ones right now. no more shaking, but the car seems to accelerate much much slower. is it more likely that these axles are much heavier/denser and that would be the cause, or that i messed something else up in the process. also, it sounds like there is a little play between shifts. i lifted it and duplicated the sound while driving lifted and it definitely coming from the passenger side (the side with the main troubled axle to begin with).. does that sound like it could be a half shaft problem (assy #19 in the pic)? and how would i get it out?

thanks in advance.

Potholes... one of many reasons why you shouldn't drive 120 mph on city streets.
