OK, this has probably been asked before, but I haven't found any info on it.. so here goes. I installed my Fujita CAI and the CEL light came on the next day. So I decided to run to Autozone to get a code reader/eraser. Picked up the Acutron Pocket scanner CP9410 that says it is ODBDII CAN compliant. But it just says "Reading" forever ( plugged this into the wife's 99 Altima and it works fine, dispalying a single code.). So here's the question, is it true that Honda changed the signals or the ability to read the codes when you use an OBDII reader/scanner? I'm gonna call acutron tomorrow, as they closed 6pm EST today. I'm also gonna head to Autozone tomorrow, and see if they have any details on a 2009 accord and if I need another reader (looks like this one may have to get returned).

humm... i don't know anything about the Acutron Pocket Scanner... but i have the ScanGuageII hooked up to my 09 EX Coupe and it works fine, runs scans, checks codes, everything works perfect on that one... so it may just be a software update that's required...

Thanks for the reply. I called Actron, and they said try to reset the unit. I did that. but it still says reading. Just to make sure, the DTC plug (OBDII) is the white plug on the left side of the steering wheel, under the dash? near the fuse box?

I'll probably have to return the acutron and pick up one like yours. ScanGuageII.

yupp that's the one! feels kinda flimsy to me... i made sure to push in till i heard a click for some reason i felt like the accords clip was a little longer then the clip on my ScanGaugeII so you might wanna get in there and make sure that its in completely... also, i don't remember exactly... but i had to do something like put the key in ignition, attach gauge, wait till it started reading, start car with gauge attached...

might be specific to what i have, but may be worth giving a shot if it works...

Good, I was worried that there was another OBD plug somewhere. Yeah the directions for this scanner says turn ignition on, but don't start the car, insert reader, and wait for codes or the absence of a code to be displayed. Oh well, we'll see when i get off of work to tackle this. Weekend almost here!
