View Full Version : Where to BUY??? 2005 Hybrid A.N.C???

hey guys, im new! glad to be here and am looking forward to lots of posts.

but first, like a lot of others, ive been experiencing the terrible droning noise in my MY05 accord hybrid. i took it to honda yesterday and they want $379 for the ANC and $125 to put it in tax included for a grand total of $504!

now... my 2 questions i desperately need answered are:

1) is there somewhere i can buy this ANC part cheaper?

2) can i install it myself(i am mechanically inclined) and if so, are there step by step instructions i can find???

this info would be greatly appreciated guys. thanks a lot!!

The hybrid already comes with ANC. Is it malfunctioning?

This is a known issue in the 05 Hybrid. I've seen this bulletin referenced in other forums (not Honda) TSB 06-005. I have the same problem, a droning noise that comes and goes. I'm trying to find a copy of that service bulletin. Anyone know where to find it on any Honda sites?

Here's your bulletin.
Do as it says and see if your noise goes away.

here's your prices:
39200-SDR-A03 CONTROL UNIT, ACTIVE NOISE No Color 1 2005 ACCORD 401.23 (originally installed one)

I put in the part number listed in the bulletin on Majestic's site and came up with a price of 264.99
Each speaker comes up as around 13.00 each.

$125 to put it in is reasonable as the whole center of the dash has to come out and both door panels to replace the parts.

The prices they gave you are Honda's list prices.
