My 98 Accord temp gauge goes to hot about 30 seconds after start up. I've put 2 sending units in under the distributor and nothing changes. I've taken a fully working cluster out of a 2002 Accord and placed it in my dash. The temp gauge doesn't move with that cluster. I suspect there are some electrical problems with my car, but I cannot figure out why the other cluster doesn't respond at all. It works fine in the 2002 car.

Other than a fix to my temp gauge problem, is there any recommended small aftermarket gauge I could install on the cluster bezel? Any tips on how to do this and what wires/parrts are needed?

Thanks for any advice,
Dan

If this is a 4 cyl, there are two temperature sensors on coolant outlet, the smaller one with the yellow/green wire is for the temperature gage and the slightly larger one is the temp sensor for the ECM. Are you sure you changed the correct one?

The 98 & 99 instrument panels are different from the 00 to 02 panels at least for the temperature gages. The service manual has different test procedures.

Good Luck
