The SRS light means there is a problem with the air bag system and they may not work. Take it to a Honda dealer and they should fix it under the lifetime seatbelt warranty if it is the seat belt causing the problem.

Good Luck

I believe the only place to purchase is Honda and I believe what you are looking for is called a reel assy.
As far as the air bag not working, that would be correct. If the SRS system cannot detect the seat belt locking it will not deploy the air bag.

It is not the seat belt so no lifetime warranty.:thumbsdow But it never hurts to ask.. nicely..
The sensor attaches to the seat belt mechanism.

My 01 sedan had the exact same problem last year, except I had a code of 09-3. The honda dealer checked the car, pulled the code, ordered the part and replaced it all free of charge, and that was only last Aug when I had 96k on it, so I would think you should still be covered.

i had a problem with the opds sensor in my passenger seat. i went to the dealer maybe 13 times to get the thing reset before they finally replaced it. atleast it never cost me anything more than my time. it just would have been better if they replaced it the 2nd time instead of trying to avoid it
