A lite (brake) grinding (metallic rubbing) noise found, and fixed...

Intermittently, I was hearing a scratching, a slight grinding noise, that only happened when I was, not braking. I had somewhat recently redone my brakes (So I knew it was not worn out brakes, but it kinda sounded like that). It would go a way, if I applied the brakes. It would not change, if I applied the parking brake. There was a grove cut into passengers side rotor hat (see below, 2nd pic).
I decided to do a full front brake inspection yesterday. I pulled apart the side in question. I found that the anti-squeal pad used by the pad manufacture (see links below) had come loose, and was resting on the rotor hat. (see below, 1st pic). This particular manufacture used a staked shim pad (shim) to the back of the brake pad (3rd pic), and this is what got loose...
The fix was to remove the broken shim. No more noise. What is not shown, is the one OEM shim in place, once reassembled...

Pad manufacture:

I like the pads, they brake really well, but the fit is a little loose. I think this moving around, broke the shim loose...

The first pic is of the shim, as it was found...
The second pic, is of the grove in rotor hat...
The last is the shim on the drivers side (the good one)...

Thanks!

BTW. You cant see the dragging shim, through the rim (you have to remove the rim, to see)...
