View Full Version : I Love It
kingsrule5 08-22-2009, 02:55 PM I finally got my Accord to me in AZ last night. I have put about 120-160 miles on it already and i only got in about an hour of driving last night due to nasty rain storms.
I am so happy with the car at this point. I think the thing that is impressing me the most is just how smooth it is when passing on the highway and doing a 60-80mph run up to pass. Even my buddy commented the same thing when i let him drive (i know brave but i drive his GTI from time to time and i was in the car).
I do have a couple of n00b questions i haven't seen in my searches and one i don't even know how to search for.
1st is there anyway on XM and Mp3 cd playback to get it to scroll through the Artist Name, Song, Cat stuff without hitting the title button. Seems there should be a setting i just can't find. (note: non-navi car)
2nd Can anybody tell me what this is to the right of pull handle for folding the seats flat. It looks like some sort of hook but i can't find anything about it and i read the manual cover to cover.
BoSSy 08-22-2009, 03:44 PM The thing to the right of the seat fold lever is a bag tote. You hang your grocery baggies on its hooks. Its an optional accessory.
laterr 08-22-2009, 04:13 PM I believe that the cargo hook is standard on a V-6 but I could be wrong.
qwerty0092 08-22-2009, 04:13 PM niiiiiiiice another fellow AZ cord member! also a BBP cord too!

so it is for bags i was confused becuase when i looked at the honda exsessories thing it showed the bag hanging from a more central hook, that looked like a hook.
Now i feel like a n00b and a failure at common sense:headbash:
Qwerty where in AZ are you?
jkcheng122 08-22-2009, 10:30 PM LOL change your sig dude. Grats on the car.

Warpdrv 08-23-2009, 08:44 AM You guys got it all wrong.... the hooks are for hookers !!!!

Maybe in '09/'10, but not in '08. And I'm glad because I'd had taken them off :D.
postmortem 08-23-2009, 09:00 AM cargo net is optional accessory on the honda's website
kingsrule5 08-23-2009, 10:42 AM Yep i saw that picture and thought it was focused on the one hanging the bag that too me looked like it was more to the center.
Plus i knew it was an accessory that i was not told the car had so i thought it might be something else.
Like i said epic fail on my part.

No worries! It is strange looking if you don't know what it is. It is hooked, but it is also curved and circular. Makes sense once you know exactly what it's for, but I might also be guessing if I didn't know at first myself. Especially considering it is right next to the pull latch for the rear seat, and the circular design would tempt me to grab and pull on it, lol.

There's cows in Chandler and Gilbert. When I lived in Johnson Ranch eight years ago, that was BFE (and it still is).
J_Honda14 08-24-2009, 06:01 AM 1st is there anyway on XM and Mp3 cd playback to get it to scroll through the Artist Name, Song, Cat stuff without hitting the title button. Seems there should be a setting i just can't find. (note: non-navi car)
I don't think there is a way to do this. I agree, it would be a very nice feature.

I just put 200 miles on my car this weekend (odometer's at 254 miles now) and I was wondering the same thing about the scrolling in XM.
