My buddy offered me a set of these compared to the Falken FK-452's.

He works at firestone and they don't carry falken, he can get them for me but can't get road hazard for them. Can get a set of the FK-452's installed balanced and all that jazz OTD for 850ish.

But the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 for 960 but w/ road hazard etc.

Anyone familiar or have any experience with these? Been reading reviews about them on tire rack etc.

From TireRack.com
"The Potenza RE760 Sport is Bridgestone's Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and performance sedans who want to maximize sport driving pleasure without abandoning treadwear. The Potenza RE760 Sport is designed to deliver sharp response along with traction in wet and dry conditions, however like all summer tires, the Potenza RE760 Sport is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice."

My Accord is my daily driver but I don't put a lot of miles on them. Only have around 15 or 16000 miles and I've had it since last march or may I forget.

Both are great tires but I would go with the 960 for when it's wet outside.

The Pole Positions or whatever? He mentioned those as well but would cost more.

I have RE960AS and absolutely love it, they are quiet, compliant, not harsh, don't hydroplane, and grip like glue.

I never thought I would ever get "all season" tires even though I only use them in the summer (since I have dedicated winter tires), but I am sold on the RE960AS after reading user feedback and then driven on them over the last 4 months.

Good deal, I think I read this response on someone else's post. A little on the expensive side but I think I'll try the 760's. I think he told me that the tread life on those 960's was not that great, or something along those lines I forgot, but I reckon you can respond to that one.

He's going to call me tomorrow about the status of the 760's and try to get them before the weekend. If not they will be coming next wednesday with their regular deliveries.

I would expect the 760 tread wear numbers to be worse than the 960, check out TireRack to see the numbers.

As a daily driver, you will likely find the 960 more fitting, I have had the original 760 a few years back, good tires IF you don't mind the harshness, I've been through all that with street legal competition tires from Yokohama many years ago, now days I find the 960 a perfect balance (NOT compromise) between ride quality, noise, and performance.

I'll have to ask about them to see if he's got any in stock.

Thanks a lot for your input.

RE960 UTQG wear rating 400, tread depth 11/32"
RE760 UTQG wear rating 360, tread depth 10/32"

So you get worse wear and less tread with the 760, you WILL out perform the 960, but not by very much and do you really need that extra bit of performance from the 760 in an Accord? Likely not.

Right, when he was mentioning the 760's over the Falkens, he was talking about how good they are cornering and all that. I was like man I'll just be cruising heh.
