dominicstl 08-25-2009, 08:56 PM Well post some when you get to em! lol
CDsDontBurn 08-26-2009, 01:46 AM i forgot to mention the r1 concept ventilated/slotted front rotors earlier too! lol. anyways, as promised, here are the pix
These pix here are of my beats.
My 800w Kenwood 4ch. amp for my component speakers

My Pioneer DEH-6000ub head unit

My subs. the silverish material you see on the trunk is called Roadkill. it's essentially a cheap imitation dynamat. it did help a significant amount with the rattle from my subs. now i just need something for my license plate.

JcRox 08-26-2009, 11:49 AM nice pics man , not to bad of a system
SatinSilver 08-26-2009, 11:58 AM Looks great with the drop and super clean. Maybe put some dynamat on the back of the plates to stop the rattle. It may take a few layers. No rattles = priceless.

thats exactly what i nned to do because mine rattles , but if i turn it up to like vol 12 it drowns out the rattle but its already too loud..
i need to drop mine im just debating which sportline kit to go with
CDsDontBurn 08-26-2009, 02:04 PM i was thinking about some double sided velcro tape for the rear license plate. but i'm afraid of it melting off during the summer heat! LOL

that might work or you could put rubber spacers or get a dynamat lp holder
CDsDontBurn 08-27-2009, 08:36 AM where can i get the LP holder from? and how much does that stuff run for?
just drill some holes and bolt down the bottom of your license plate too and you will be cool
CDsDontBurn 08-27-2009, 01:19 PM uhh, no. lol.
idk about 7th and 8th gen accords, but the 6th gen has a little lip at the bottom to hold the license plate in place. i think i'll just go w/the double sided velcro tape for now until i can find something else/better.
BlueBlahBleh 08-28-2009, 08:53 AM You aren't worried about someone stealing your velcro license plate?
Next thing you know, the police will be calling you up because your plate was on a vehicle used in a robbery or some other crime... (It's happened to me before after a front plate was stolen from my old Accord, heh)

I'm sure he'd still use the normal bolts/screws that came with the plate. If anything it would be a theft deterrent because the thief would probably be like WTF?!?!?!

no, not really. i mean, i know it's always a possibility that somebody would steal my plates, but i'm not worried about it.

of course i'd still use the normal bolts and screws. i would simply add small squares of velcro to the center, bottom center, left corner, and right corner of the plate to do away with all of the license plate rattling.
SatinSilver 08-28-2009, 10:36 AM How many miles are on this ride? You should put that in your signature. I think another post you said it had 176k...or I could be confusing you with someone else.
CFaccord45 08-28-2009, 04:22 PM Welcome to the forums!, very nice setup you got there

i'm about to roll over to 174k. it should actually happen on my way home from work tonight. IIRC, when i parked here at work earlier, the OD was at 173,983 or something like that. i might be wrong, but i know i'm at 173,9xx.
and posting my mileage in my siggy would be hard for me to keep up! haha. i usually drive anywhere between 30k miles to 40k miles a year!!!:D
Welcome to the forums!, very nice setup you got there
Thanks a bunch man! there are still a few other things i want to do to my car before i consider it "finished" lol.
things like a strut bar, CAI, exhaust, and wheels. i *might* do headers, but idk if i can justify their cost
BlueBlahBleh 08-28-2009, 06:26 PM Ah, I see now. Velcro to reduce/eliminate the rattles from your sub.
Good idea
and welcome! hehe
CDsDontBurn 08-28-2009, 06:44 PM yea, that's what the velcro is intended for. because rattling is ghey.
A&Fbro28 08-28-2009, 11:21 PM uhh, no. lol.

gonna do spoiler? i tried to find white 02 ex-l b4 i bought the 08. my favorite butt..lol.
CDsDontBurn 08-29-2009, 12:07 AM no, no spoiler. i don't think i want the extra weight. and my trunk is already pretty heavy due to the roadkill sound insulator i have.
although, i did see a silver 6th gen when i picked up my rotors from R1 Concept with a trunk lip. i thought that looked really hawt.
These images are all that i was able to find through some googleing. from the forum (http://www.v6performance.net/forums/showthread.php?t=83279&highlight=inspired1%27s+mugen) i found this on, it appears to be from Mugen. The end result of the car is a total rice-rocket btw. that's not what i'd like my car to look like when i consider it "finished". My car will have the least amount of "rice-rocket" connection as possible while still have improvements over stock when i have it finished.

Tilly 09-02-2009, 05:22 PM How much does it cost to put in a sound system like that?
CDsDontBurn 09-02-2009, 06:07 PM I couldn't tell you exactly. The subs and amp i've had for several years already and this is actually the 3rd car they've been in. The pioneer speakers also came from my previous car. So, the only things i had to pay for was the head unit, the 800w kenwood amp, and installation.
Installed at the shop i got everything from (i've purchased my speakers, amps, and subs from the same place over the years), it came to just under $1,000 ($920 IIRC). Installation costs were $250, the head unit was $320 at the time (i've seen my head unit for around $170 now) and i forget how much my kenwood amp was when i purchased it, but it was also a pretty penny. The pioneer speakers i had do not fit (too small) into my car, so the shop had to fabricate custom mounting holes into the stock mounting areas. Although this made the installation costs go up a little bit, it did save me more money in the end because i didn't need to buy 4 new speakers which would have run me at least another $300 + $180 on installation. So, i opted to save the $300 by not getting 4 new speakers and get my smaller speakers (5x7 rear, 4.5in. front) custom mounted and spend just $250 on installation. Doing that saved me $230.
But, if you're going to be setting up a new system from scratch similar to mine, expect to pay around $1,200 and up. You'd want to add at least an extra $150 more for installation costs if you were to get it installed at a shop instead of doing it your self.
A&Fbro28 12-06-2009, 09:16 AM Spoiler isn't heavy bro. it's not like its metal...lol.
