View Full Version : Chandler's 2008 Accord V6 Coupe Build Thread:

I'm a new member here and just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. I purchased a 2008 Accord V6 Coupe yesterday and wanted to document my story for you all to read. Any comments or criticisms are more than welcome. The car is currently stock with the exception of the window tint; however, I have some intentions to change that. The first few things I am considering in no particular order are:
A. Tein SS Coilovers
B. TSW Donington wheels
Right now the logical choice is the 18x8 wheels with a 42mm offset, but am open to suggestions on this one.
C. HID Conversion
The Phillips conversion kit has peaked my interest, but have not committed to anything yet.
D. A turbo or supercharger
I also have a B16 swapped Vortech CRX. The added torque of the V6 is nice in comparison, but the car leaves me wanting more :yes:

RedBull 08-26-2009, 01:10 PM Its hard to tell in the picture you provided, but are your door handles chrome or did you swap the chrome for body color door handles?

While I have no intentions to change the wheels on my car, I'd still gotta say if you're going to change them, get either 19" or 20". Especially since you're lowering the car.
coupe_nasty 08-26-2009, 01:41 PM i would highly reccomend retro-solutions hid kits. Also i have tein ss coilovers and love them.

BlueBlahBleh 08-27-2009, 08:55 AM If you look really closely in the pic, I think he has the HFP kit installed... Although the post says his car is stock except for window tint, and he didn't post any pics showing closeups of the lip kit. Maybe he isn't aware of it?

The door handles are chrome.
While I have no intentions to change the wheels on my car, I'd still gotta say if you're going to change them, get either 19" or 20". Especially since you're lowering the car.
I have always hated over sized wheels and the idea behind the suspension is not to lower the car in my case. 18" is the absolute biggest I would go. The Mugen wheels on my CRX (MR5's) are 15" and people have always given me flack for not going bigger.
DDM hid kits are very good for their money! Lifetime warranty too!

Yes, because a car has never been turbo or supercharged before that is atypical of the norm. I don't see what's so funny?
Go look at the pictures of my other car and you will find that it was the 1st Vortech Supercharged and water cooled B16 CRX.

It does have the HFP body kit with 3M, neither of which I could consider a modification as they were both done by Honda at the dealership.
