I have a 2000 Accord SE ULEV 2.3L VTEC. I was replacing the original front rotors with Wagner rotors from Advanced Auto Parts and I found that the two screw holes that hold the rotor to the hub assembly do not line up. On the Wagner rotors the holes are centered, but on the original rotors and the hub assembly the holes are off center. I went back to Advanced, returned the Wagners and purchased Wearevers. The holes are off center on Wearever rotors and fit perfectly. Has anyone else ran into this? Why would Wagner make a vechicle specific rotor where the screw holes don't match? The Advanced Auot Parts manager was scratching his head.

Tvomalley:
The evidence you present makes for yet another case as to WHY I don't like using aftermarket brake parts. On my trusty '86, I experimented around with AM brake pads and rotors. After experiencing your same disappointment, I said "to Hell with it," and reverted to OEM Honda. OEM Honda costs more, sure. But it FITS RIGHT, the first time! And it WORKS!
The rotor screw alignment is not that critical of a factor, assuming you torque the wheel lugs correctly (to ~82-~83 foot-pounds).
However, and that said, just like yourself, I want the damn screw holes in the rotor to precisely line up with the hub.
Wagner, Bendix, etc., they actually make some very nice brake parts. Just depends on WHERE they were manufactured, respective to the particular vendor. Everyones' blue prints don't always match up. Correct?
Salient point: You gotta shop really CAREFUL, especially when using aftermarket brake hardware!
