Hey guys, I am new to the forum so here goes. I have a 98 accord 4cyl automatic. I was driving my dog to the vet and notice the temp gauge fluctuation (probably spelled wrong) like crazy:thumbsdow. I got her home and noticed the radiator was empty. I let it cool down completely and heard trickling water. I traced the water to a hose that goes underneath the throttle body. There is some kind of thingymajiger that is mounted under the throttle body with 3 screws and a nozzle that goes into this hose. The whole nozzle broke off in the hose. What is that thing under the throttle body? :dunno: I am pretty decent with repairs but have never dealt with the throttle bodies very much. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank Michael

That thingymajiger (as you called it) is used to heat up the throttle body and to help atomize the fuel as it enters the engine. It's mainly needed in the winter time and in very cold climantes. I'd just bypass it and as long as the car runs fine, I wouldn't replace it for now. But if you do bypass it and start having issues with the engine running smoothly during cold tempatures, then it will need to be repaired or replaced.

that is kinda what I figured. I bypassed it today. I live in a suburb of Houston, Tx so I don't figure it will be a problem.
